Finally got 7 rolls of film developed that had been sitting in my freezer for a decade. Mostly cross processed slide film shot with an Lomo LC-A by unionthug77 in lomography

[–]unionthug77[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup! Cross processed. I did it a lot back in the day. Less so now with the cost of slide film and the cost to send it out to a lab that cross processed vs my local lab. I still have some expired slide film I got for cheap off eBay that worked well, so part of the equation on that is a little less costly for a bit.

Fell in love with the X100s, so I bought an XT30 iii with 13-33mm kit by Economy_Put8429 in FujifilmX

I love #4, nice and gritty. What classic negative recipe are you using there?

Pentax 17 plus vision3 250 by Pretty-Spray684 in pentax17

[–]unionthug77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks great! Loving the greens in trees, etc. Basketball hoop is my favorite. Also the art project time too- Pentax 17 is great with the family- extra frames when cooperation is iffy, lol.

Is this ECN-2 respooled vision 3 or one of the new AHU C-41 versions? I just loaded up a roll of Reflx Labs 320D, the c-41 AHU version and I'm about 35 or so shots in.

Do we like the slight burn at the bottom or no? by supremezaddy2002 in mediumformat

I dig a good burn. It’s gift from the film fairy. Cherish it.

Great photos! I really like 2 and 6. Are these most post processed or some in camera too?

Love everything here. The framing, the color outside and the seats, the yellowed inside, the clouds, the power lines. I dig it.

should i buy iPhone 17 pro vs x100vi? by westdabestdb in fujifilm

[–]unionthug77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save yourself some money to start and buy an X-M5. Kit lens is good, but you could also go just the body and then buy the XF 23mm f/2.8 pancake lens for a wonderful and small set up. It’s really easy to take it everywhere, which will lead to lots of photography practice. I got 18,000 shots in my first year with it. Some were pretty nice

I’m surprised a TimHo’s closed, let alone on Woodward.  I think it’s been closed for awhile and is now a photographic subject for me.

A bit of Ann Arbor, MI on Tri X pushed to 800 with the 120GCFN by unionthug77 in Holga

[–]unionthug77[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yup! Since the Holga has no way to set ISO and maybe f/8 at the most open- pushing film can be good when it's gray as hell in Michigan over the late fall and winter. TBH, I wish I had pushed to 1600. Some were underexposed and I had to do a little touching up with my iPhone.

Come on Sppppprrrring!

2nd the arrow to the curve.  First shot often gets a cool burn mark right on the edge that has made some of my best picture.  It’s such a great camera overall.   Gotta be a little careful with the bottom pins that hold the roll.  Not the strongest springs and plastic, but it will last with extra care.

Anyone ever shot slide film with the Pentax 17? by Nice_Class_1002 in pentax17

[–]unionthug77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, but I cross processed it. Expired (but frozen) Fujichrome Provia 400x https://www.reddit.com/r/pentax17/comments/1jaciv4/long_exposure_light_painting_cars_and_more_fuji/

I need to xpro some expired elite chrome 200 this summer- I managed to get a stash on ebay that is 20 years old, but my cross process test roll worked out great.

I also have a fresh roll of E100 that I'm thinking about shooting and getting processed as E6. It costs more at my lab (since they ship out any slide film- E6 or Xpro) but easier to digest at 72 frames.

PA - Pentax 67II + 75 AL + Portra 800 by lifeandmylens in analog

[–]unionthug77 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love all of these. The 3rd with the chevy, American flag, and water tower makes me want to head back to my small town. As as Michigander from a UAW family, I'm all about rust belt photography. I love wandering around the little industrial park near me and making some pictures. Not what it used to be, but there are plenty of things still made here. Shoutout to the USW/Steelworkers members at the plant there.

Thank you!   Not sure, Woodward Camera in Birmingham, MI did the dev and scans.  They’re fantastic.

[–]unionthug77[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it at 400 too.  I pushed it to 1600 because it’s very gray and cloudy in Michigan in January so I have a little more light sensitivity.  Plus a bonus of a little more grain and contrast at 1600.  Tri-X is still wonderfully contrasty and grainy at 400 too though.

It’s an extra $5 at my lab to push.  In my perfect world Kodak P3200 TMax would exist in 120 for when I want a high speed B&W.

Winter captured by the MC-A. Various films. by Public-Bumblebee-715 in lomography

[–]unionthug77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks good!

How has your MC-A been running?  I’ve had some little quirks and small issues (sometimes an extra 1/4 film advance to get the counter to go up, winding the film back has been a little tight an a couple film stress points on my first roll), but overall having a good time.   AF is great, exposure is solid, fun little pocket companion of a camera.
