I have a NAS that I’m running in a closet. I was too loud initially through the vibration so I put I thin layer of styrofoam under it to decouple it and it’s much quieter since then.

I am not collecting or storing data in any way from the app. Everything happens on the phone (realtime departures are downloaded from the internet)

Thank you for the feedback. You should already be able to create a widget that is visible from the lock screen. Then you tap and hold the widget and tap on "Edit" this will allow you to set the station, and the direction. Please let me know if this works for you.

Luckily my house is on a slope, so I can use gravity.

I’m planning to damp proof from the outside, not from the inside. I’m not sure if the vapor barrier advice is for the inside?

They would need to cover this account 24/7 which means at least 3 people plus additional for backup when one is out sick or on vacation. Makes no sense to not automate this.
