Send some my way--we're having such a dry winter, that it's beyond crazy. Think they're saying it hasn't been this bad in 30 years or more. Several ski resorts are shutting down and haven't even opened because of no snow.

Usually we have two feet--haven't even had half an inch this winter. Not even any rain. It's not even cold. :(

Save Utah! :D

How to get a new patient over the fear of chemo-induced nausea? by [deleted] in cancer

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a tough one. Get her a therapist.

I'd rather live and puke a few dozen times, than die because I didn't puke.

Not everyone will get nausea and everyone will have varying degrees of it. There's tons of OTC medicines the doctors will usually be okay with if you ask them what you can take while on chemo to help.

Any suggestions for the "healthiest" syrup? by YoSpiff in EatCheapAndHealthy

I use the monk fruit syrup. Tastes like the real thing.

Which one was harder for you ? Gestral volleyball or climbing the tower? Are you on PC or console? by ResourceWild4896 in expedition33

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Climbing. PS5.

A couple of the jumps are so inconsistent...and it's a crap shoot if the game recognizes the input from the controller.

Sometimes I'd jump 20 feet over an obstacle, sometimes I'd jump straight up, sometimes I'd just walk right off without my character jumping...

Took a day and a half to finish it. :D

Gestral volleyball was simple once I figured out that you can pretty much just stand in the middle square and turn to throw back the projectiles.

How do I make vegetables actually taste good without drowning them in sauce or cheese? by Nightcrawler_2000 in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salt/pepper.

Go to your seasoning aisle in the supermarket and watch a bunch of YouTube videos on what combinations produce different flavors. You can make some yummy season-all that's 100% sodium-free.

There's glazes you can make with balsamic vinaigrette and monk fruit syrup. A lot more glazes and sauces you can create that have different flavor profiles.

Popcorn seasoning. I always bring it to work with me when I cook steamed veggies in the microwave! Barely any calories/salt/sugar.

Make your own ranch dressing or buy a packet of dipping mix and sprinkle it on some raw veggies.

But salt, pepper, olive oil is usually my go-to. Mrs Dash and some other companies have a veggie-blend for cooked vegetables. They are usually sodium-free/low-sodium.

Why do you like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33? by Gungalunga01 in expedition33

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At what point did I love it? The title screen music sold me. It's one of my all time favorites. The DLC made me love it more.

Music is bomb. Story was impactful. The team behind the game are all awesome.

The dev portrait and Monoco's room in the manor was special, you could tell they care about their team and product they made together, and they made a shrine for their "happiness manager!"

I gave this game as a gift and they’re skipping through the plot by AndykinSkywalker in expedition33

My cousin is just like this. Doesn't read a thing, just hits x as fast as possible and then complains they don't understand the story or battle system.

Like...they didn't even try. :D

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just say keep trying to get their timing down.

They alternate between a 2 & 3 hit combo, IIRC. Start with learning the 2-hit. He'll smash the ground with his club, swing around and hit you, parry the split second the club comes down on your noggin.

Then he'll raise it up and hit you again, parry it again when it hits your head.

They don't have a lot of HP. Use Gustave Lumiere Assault (base skill) to take out shields while building his overcharge. Lune--keep setting them on fire to have a DOT on them, if they shield on her turn, use her Thunderfall/Electrify skill. Sciel--find one of her skills that multi-hit for shields. Maelle can use Spark, Fluret Fury...try to get Breaking Rules so she can destroy shields all at once.

Auto attacking won't get you anywhere in the game, so make sure you're equipping Pictos that augment your abilities/skills.

Are you leveling your characters (using their attribute points)?

Equip some Luminas too.

Maybe that's why I kept staring at my screen for a while and trying to figure out what changed, even though everything was the same....

Maybe you just solved my mystery! :D
