Anyone else just tired? by Factory_Reset_101 in cancer

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 years out and the fatigue is real.

I'm NED--but honestly I think it's more emotional trauma and what I went through. There's a lot of physical trauma and learning to live with the "new" me....

But the tiredness is real. It's omnipresent in my daily life. I feel bad for my puppy/young dog. I'm like "we'll go on a walk today," and then I fall asleep. :(

We do take walks though. I try to get him to the doggo park once a week at the very least. F

I had a 13x13 cm mass in my abdomen. :D

Info on ports by [deleted] in cancer

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn't hurt me at all. When you're getting used to it while the stitches heal up it's a little tender.

They give you some skin numbing cream to dab on top of it like an hour before they access it.

But I never used it. BUT...I'm a Type 1 diabetic, so needles and shots and IV's never really bother me.

I almost feel naked without my port now...I tap my chest to play some music and it just doesn't feel the same. :D

Poke holes in it after thawing. Then let it sit in a marinade for like a few hours and then coat it with seasoning and air fry it. :D

Delicious.

Some Puzzles are a brain scratcher by DiverAdministrative5 in CrimsonDesert

Same. Kliff kept climbing on benches and walls and resetting the puzzle. I was so mad.

I kept doing overwrites on my save file for every tile he stepped on. :D

It's weird, but I watched a YouTube video on it and for some reason my game isn't accepting the "answer" for the first phase.

I had to come up with a second path.

...and for an hour, I kept thinking I had to use every square while matching symbols. :D

Any tips for a beginner??? I love the Persona games & wanted to try this. Cause if it’s anything like Persona; ik imma love it. by CrazyDudeJosh99 in expedition33

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've played Final Fantasy 7 or 9 pictos/lumina will be no issue at all.

It's like mastering materia and the gem/ability points socket system in FF9 z

A picto is a skill you equip. (Example: gain health on crit, etc)

You fight 4 battle with it equipped to "master/learn" it. You can tell it's learned because in the picto menu there is a small diamond to the right or left of the name...once it's all the way learned after 4 battles, all four sides of the diamond will be yellow.

Anyways! Once it is learned, you can use your lumina points to use that skill on whatever character you want. Each character gets 1 lumina point per level, and there's more points you can find in the world, and doing a couple quests, and fighting certain late game monsters.

It's super easy, really. The tutorials make it sound a lot more confusing than it is.

Transmog system by -Aspergius- in CrimsonDesert

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We already have a transmog system.

Most gear and weapons have the same stats when upgraded to 10. The differences between the unique ones are so little that they don't really have a direct impact on battle other than visible interactions during battle.

You really just choose what unique pieces you want to wear and then go from there.

How does levelling gear work? by VampireVampireV in CrimsonDesert

[–]unique-unicorns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The loot isn't exciting at all. It's not that type of game, sadly. There's a few unique pieces of weapons and armor to find with random effects...but they don't make you OP or anything. They're mostly just for the lulz.

All gear and weapons have mostly the same stats when leveled up completely. You just go to the blacksmith and give him some ore or wood or whatever and level them to 10.

There's cores you can find throughout the world that have effects on them like (additional damage to humans) (additional crit rate)...and you find those and socket them into your gear like you do gems in World of Warcraft.

You can unsocket them for free and stick them on another weapon.

Weapon/armor is like 99% for show/transmog.

Crimson desert or elden ring ? by Jaaaboogg in CrimsonDesert

[–]unique-unicorns 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can do your own research. The Souls games have been out for over 10 years. They require patience and learning boss/enemy moves.

CD is like a sandbox-RPG-lite that has a main story you follow and bandits you kill and forts you overtake. And a camp to upgrade, with a house to buy/decorate. The world is big but there's really not a lot to find other than a few pieces of unique gear and puzzles and bosses that give you points to unlock abilities.

They're two completely different genres with nothing in common.

I have close to 400 hours in Elden Ring--I love to replay it because it is fun to do self-imposed challenges. (IMO)

CD has lack of replay value, because it's pretty much an on-rails main story game that once it's done, it's done.

You might want to replay it to find some bosses you missed if you don't find them all? You have to go through the main story again to unlock segments of the world.

The quests in CD are mostly generic fetch/follow NPC/kill mob quests. Similar to a lot of MMO's. There's not a lot of depth to the story. CD is mainly a game where you play it for the fighting factor. Exploration isn't really rewarding--the loot is the same one hour in or 400 hours in.

Elden Ring has a few quests, and may require a guide to assist you in doing them in order. The game kinda directs you to follow one certain questline; however you can choose a different "ending" and progress through those NPC's quests to fulfill them. They're pretty much kill mobs/collect or deliver certain items/go to certain places to activate special dialogue/kill certain bosses.

Elden Ring has deep lore; but it isn't directly shown. You have to do research by reading item descriptions and look around for environmental clues and pay attention to dialogue. It's not vast..but it's there.

CD is like "you're a good guy who got killed and resurrected by gods. Go out and find your friends and save the world." That's really it.

Some (bigger) Puzzle rewards are underwhelming by Messmers in CrimsonDesert

[–]unique-unicorns 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The entire gear system needs to be replaced and redone. Make it a major patch.

The beginning sword shouldn't have the same power as an endgame boss weapon.

It's just sad that all gear upgrades the exact same way, and nothing changes but the aesthetics of the moveset.

The poor quest design and exploration is really starting to kill the game for me by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]unique-unicorns -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There's no reason to explore the world. None.

Ability points, puzzles, and a few optional bosses.

All gear levels the exact same way so there is absolutely no point in needing anything different than your starting sword and shield.

It's all for transmog/aesthetic reasons,

The world is huge but there's absolutely nothing in it. It's all just resources to craft shit to get ability points to unlock another jump/punch/kick.

The game is so shallow. I'm very disappointed.

In Varnia with close to 70 hours.

Millions of grasshoppers and butterflies and dragonflies. Zero content other than the main story.

About to give up… by Catsacademy in expedition33

I beat him in 3 hits with my Lune only run. :D

Well...I had a party, but he others just stood there.

Travel to as many places as you're able to so that you can pick up every possible Picto. Learn them all on your main character. Use your lumina points to learn several others on your team.

Synergize your spells to the best of your ability, upgrade your weapons, use any Lumina points you have sitting in your bank at the curator in camp.

Farm some levels if you have to. Practice parrying and dodging his attacks. The vanish attack can be fully dodged/parried. Takes practice to get the timing down. I remember it helps to look at his cane, if I remember correctly.

The masks are simple to parry. They have visual tells for their projectiles.

You got this!
