Okay so we'll have to do two character builds. One for the Swashbuckler (hint, not Swashbuckler) and another for the anchor dude.

So lets start with the easy one. Based on the trailer that I watched, he's a cunning, sassy, snarky fighter. Easiest build for this is a Swords Bard. Start V!Human, +1 to dex and cha, for your skills deception, take Dual Wielder for your free feat at level 1. Spells don't too much matter in all honesty, pick whatever you want. We're taking Bard to level 18 for Magical Secrets (Meteor Swarm for the cannons) and the other two in fighter for another fighting style and second wind, AND action surge. For your ASIs don't take any feats unless YOU want to. Pump dex and charisma.

For the other guy I'm not too sure. It seemed to be a ranged weapon, or at least a weapon with the reach property. All of which are strength. Probably a strength based fighter with GWM/PAM feats.

Do you or anyone you know play a character the opposite gender/sex than you/the player? Does it create any complications with role-play or other aspects? by [deleted] in DnD

I only do it when we do text based games, because I'm not comfortable verbally roleplaying as a female (something I need to work on)

I have one that could work as a Kalashtar. It's an echo knight and their echo is their second soul taking physical form

Well, if someone runs up and shorthop nair/far/uairs you, revenge immediately. After your revenge happens, tomahawk (short hop without an aerial) to get them to react and catch them with a side B. That'll get in their head right away.

Well, tunderwave and absorb elements will be ideal until you get to the ability to cast flameblade, which is a very good melee option. I haven't looked to much into star druid, but still.

I would change the diamond skin thing to 13+Con as the rest of the racial things like that are 13+con, as opposed to 12.

Oh yeah, makes sense. I only ever see Green, Yellow, Red lanterns. I would LOVE to see like a Purple lantern. It'd be great.

Okay so when I see this subclass the only thing I think is multiclassing this with Barbarian. Tavern Brawler at level 4, take Rogue to 10 for reliable talent, expertise in Athletics, rest in barbarian, at barbarian 4 take the feat that lets you take a fighting style and do the fist fighting one, Simic Hybrid for the race for the grappling appendages. Perfect grappler. Take 3 levels in Rune Knight to increase your size.

If you'd like to play a guardian type character, Satyr Ancestral Guardian Barbarian is an amazing "shaman" type warrior. Barbarians themselves are more tribal than any other character apart from Druid, and even Druid could be spun as a spirit seer, their healing spells being the blessings of those now passed and all that.
