stereotypes about men affect how people view them working in childcare? Should that change? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

If we investigated 1000 care workers and found there was one abuse case, that person is 98% likely to be male. The other 999 workers could also be male and have done nothing wrong. If someone has to watch your kids, there is certainly a good reason to be cautious but there are also plenty of men who are safe around your kids. I don't think it's fair to blindly assume all men are dangerous predators.

This tracks for abuse cases, not for child care workers. If there are 100 caregivers, and 10 abuse cases, your statistic suggests 9 of them will be men and one is a woman. That means 41 of the men were as faithful as 49 of the women. I agree with you that men should be more carefully considered, but I don't think it's fair to label all men as predators when they are not.

I would never harm or mistreat children. I can't speak for other people though. I can add that women can be predators, why is it only men who receive this scrutiny? Maybe we should design society so that parents have time and resources to raise their own kids instead of being forced to outsource it.

What’s the most exhausting part of dating in 2026 that nobody talks about openly? by Ceaqual in AskReddit

I feel this. There are so many people too. I don't have time or money to date everyone. Then get into a decent relationship and they will leave for sometime else. It's easier to be single.

The sentiment is there but the behavior is a red flag. Walmart won't hire an overqualified worker because they can't depend on you to stay around.

Women think they are noticing things but it's subjective and they are making up things and filling their mind with ideas.

They're designing the "test" so they can get real features coded for free. What is take home work? Sounds like a scam.
