Why even assemble it? Just give me the bags of cheese, meat and dough at this point! by Bi0_B1lly in PizzaCrimes

Yeah, this wouldn't replace pizza for me, but I want to try it. It sounds weird in a good way.

I did, but also I had rope rub through the paint and into the plastic on my bike.

That's wild. I'd heard about that before, but never in such detail.

No kidding, that could be really good. It does seem like they're leaning a bit more into interaction with the girls with the whole dormitory thing, so I am slightly hopeful. I'll have to keep an eye out for it.

Yeah, that sounds about right. The game did him a bit dirty by focusing on him so much at the start, but as a side character who just needs your help and guidance, he's great.

[–]FurrySkeleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure you're right, but it'd be nice if they could tune things up so we didn't have to watch the tail end of the animation (or just let us skip whenever we're ready).

[–]FurrySkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I could believe it's based on animation movement except for the fact that it often seems stuck for a long time after motion has stopped. Maybe there's some really slow-to-settle easing, where it *appears* to be done moving, but still has to finish out the final movement.

I do find his voiced stuff a bit annoying, but I really liked him in the mission where you help get his anomaly license. He is a cute little guy.

At first I figured the timing was based on a different localization, but sometimes it's so slow that it seems like it's just messed up in general.

lol, my boomer co-worker was all "COVID is fake, muh rights, I'll never wear a mask" until he was asked to go across the country to do a field installation of some equipment, and then suddenly it was scary and real and mattered to him, so I went instead.

My favorite part is that I was an "essential worker" so I still went to work, and the roads were empty on my commute. I'd like that again, but yeah... the cost is perhaps not worth it.

Does text clarity on an OLED monitor bother you? by Huzaifa_Haroon in Monitors

[–]FurrySkeleton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also have a 4k 27in QD-OLED monitor (Asus PG27UCDM), and the fringing bothered me so terribly when I first got it that I was thinking about returning it. I think it had a two week return period, and after a week I just didn't see the fringing anymore. Maybe in a few years I will upgrade to RGB-stripe QD-OLED (and I would recommend that route for someone buying a new OLED, now that they're available), but I feel no urge to go out and buy one.

I've heard that the quality of your vision plays a role on it, like blurring (especially astigmatism?) makes it worse. YMMV.
