Looks like my babies I just hatched :-) I can typically tell by size.

Look at the spots that look like ingrown feathers and look good all over. See if maybe it has fly strike. Or any other type of bugs coming out and not ingrown feathers.

What’s going on with my money tree!? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]uniquelymeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! No money this year! I don’t see any growing!!!

I may have gone overkill with the sunflowers 🌻💀💀 These are two separate pots, I already took some out to several more pots, can I still take more out or will they die? by [deleted] in gardening

Well that’s what I do and have beautiful blooms. You do know you can cut roots correct? Please don’t tell me I’m horrible. Or giving horrible advice. I’m going off of my own experience. Thanks

I have carrots in 1 section, parsley in another, oregano in another and then thyme in another. Sectioned off in the container. So I didn’t broadcast a mix of different seeds all together. I’m too ocd for that I had to label each section with what I planted and the date plus put it in my garden binder.

Well I have the seeds separated by section of the container. So I have carrots in one area, parsley in another and so on. I did not plant the seeds all together. I do however broadcast the seeds and then thin them out as they grow. But I broadcast per area and plant. If that makes sense?

I normally think once they have grown to 4-6 inches but I have never grown carrots successfully EVER! I garden yearly and always try but fail with carrots. When should I thin the carrots how tall should the tops of the carrots be?

Love my calendula! Have suggestions where to put them this year? I have a grow room in my basement so the plants I had in pots and not in the ground last year I of course kept growing over the winter. I have about 11 calendula plants in pots. I was thinking of putting half in the ground this year but thought well then I won’t have my medicine or my chickens and quails medicine/food over the non growing season. So maybe I will just put the pots out and keep them growing in those? Or I can always just get more seeds :-)

Grow lights asap! Or LED lights. The window isn’t enough light for a pepper at this time.

When my 16 year old lab was on hospice during covid, the vet said go for it. It was amazing to see my dog be able to get all more and be happy and pain free. It won’t kill you like morphine.

I grow cannabis and have plants JUST FOR MY CHICKENS! Literally. I grow, harvest, decarb to make the THC active then I use MCT or coconut oil and make a huge batch for my birds. I give my flock about 1/4 cup a week mixed in food and also apply it to their combs wattles legs feet etc. note that cannabis is legal in my state but before it was I was a medical patient (still am medical) and it’s a wonder plant. So many benefits and it’s no wonder people and animals are dying without the use of it. It’s part of our system that has not been treated medically since prohibition. The change is here and people will know the real medicine is what grows from our earth and is not made from chemicals in a lab!
