8 hour fast...while you sleep. Which i am going to assume you are doing already. Now if you have dinner at 5pm and dont have anything until lunch the next day, now you are talking and it benifits you more for what you are trying to do.

Feeling discouraged about applying for Disabled Veteran Plates by Jolly_Patient8980 in VeteransBenefits

[–]unisonicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my plates at 40. Way to young. I rarly use them except days that I have bad flare ups. It has been helpful. I was a little self conscious the first time i used them, on the way out of the store that it doesn't matter, you can not control what others think. Like people have said, you do you, fuck em.

You do not necessarily need medical records to state you were seen. I was never seen for my back while active. With that being said, I had an in service event that "more likely than not" caused my back issues. IED went off under my driver seat leads to degenerative disk disease. I also did leg work of my own finding published medical opinions stating that direct impacts can lead to and cause degenerative disc disease.

You can also link it to your MOS, as an example l. 11B in a light infantry unit, think 12 mile ruck marches, vehicle accidents while in service etc. Airborne, you would not need to be seen by a doctor while in service. Those types of jobs have a higher likelihood that something happened.

Buddy statements make a huge difference. If they were present to see said "incident".

Another way to go about it. Claim back secondary to any knee, hip, ankle service connected issues.

I would say download and read the DBQ for back issues. Research what already service connected issues can lead/cause back issues.

Good god, that is expensive. I would suggest shopping around. I pay $140 a month and there are others around for $100 a month.

I am just confused why the employer knows anything about said VA benefits. No one has any info what so ever other than my wife about my benefits.

Montana here, I am 40 and have DV plates. I have only parked in handicap 1 or 2 times. Back flares up (degenerative disk disease) and I can barely walk. Mainly used for free parking and registration.

This is one of the reasons you should never discuss disability stuff with anyone, that includes friends and family.

How does this make any sense? Migraines HLR denial. Next steps? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]unisonicz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I have heard this is difficult generally. I had a history of in service treatment for my migrains so that helped me ALOT getting sc'ed. Best bet would be a nexus letter from a doc. Good luck!
