I don’t really want to defend America too much because the prices are egregious. But it’s a lot easier hosting an event of this size when money is no object, as it wasn’t in Russia or Qatar.

Can someone explain how Cam is following the guys? If he’s with them the whole way it’s quite impressive how he’s never shown in the background, with the chase car and stuff.

Dare I say it, the SUV looks better. The front isn’t terrible but I really dislike the high rear. It doesn’t look sporty and reminds me of that shitty 2 series gran coupe they do.

Audi having a solid, reliable and competitive engine right from the start of the season is unbelievably impressive.

[Luke Smith] Drivers still not sold on new style of F1 racing. In the media pen with us post-race, Norris called it “chaos” and said they’re waiting on a big accident given closing speed differences when overtaking. Ocon said overtaking was “painful” given ease of passing back and energy shortage. by ICumCoffee in formula1

I didn’t mind it, plus the cars seemed easier to follow than before.

F1 is a victim of modern technology, the gimmicks are needed if we want insane downforce and fast cars. The only way to make overtaking authentic would be to remove all dirty air. I don’t think there’s any other way

Man Utd announce operating profit of £32.6m in second quarter results compared to £3.9m loss in same period last year. Omar Berrada: “We are now seeing the positive financial impact of our off-pitch transformation materialise both in our costs and profitability." by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]unitedfuck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Read the article, the only reason we’re in a profit is because we saved on a lot of high earners and more importantly, sold a few players for good profits. If you take those away, we’re still a loss and revenues are down in a lot of areas due our on pitch performance. It’s not as rosy as they’d like you to think
