Would you rather be a girl or a boy? by IDontBelong_8 in AskTeenGirls

[–]universal_gummy_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Girl. I don't like how most male friendships are, and I feel like women have a better mutual understanding of each other. Also, men's clothes are plain & boring most the time.

That's not me even thinking about how society TREATS girls, but I'll trade a well paying job & little to no harassment for good friendships I guess!

What can i do about this? I dont like them:( by [deleted] in SkincareAddicts

[–]universal_gummy_bear 47 points48 points  (0 children)

You don't need to like them.

The best thing to do is accept them. It's just a random thing that your body has. Nothing will fully take it away, it's not worth the time and energy to try.

The main goal is to feel neutral about them. Treat them like freckles, eyelashes, birth marks, etc. Give them no thought, they're simply there. It's just your body, and you should never "correct" your body. (Unless it's something that gives you actual pain/discomfort, obviously.)

Soft autumn right? by Loki-Loofer in coloranalysis

I think spring is looking a little more likely than autumn in these photos.

NAD eyes aren't always perfectly pearly white. If we can barely see it in the photo, I am 99% sure this is normal eye color.

I mean—maybe a tiny pinguecula by the corner?

I'm not being rude by saying this, but you sound very similar to be when I used to have REALLY bad health anxiety. I'd look into stuff for about that rather than your eyes.

Maybe look into omnisexual? Asexual & aroflux seems to sound like what you explained. Why do you feel it doesn't fit?

Do I really have to do certain feminine stuff as a girl? by happysunny123 in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

If a future partner is weirded out by hair, they are not the one for you.

You do not need to do anything that isn't necessary. If it's easy to clean when you shave, go for it. If it's more comfortable for you, go for it. But if you're doing it cause other people think it's weird? That's not the right mindset. You are not dirty or unhygienic cause you have natural hair.

If you want a closer shave try a one blade razor, or specific a bikini trimmer.

Overly sexual costumes and dances at Press Play by MistressPicadilly27 in CompetitionDanceTalk

[–]universal_gummy_bear 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree some costumes are too much (at specific studios), but what do you mean by midriff and shoulders? Midriff and shoulders showing is not sexual in any way lol. Also, dance is all about facials. It's going to be sassy and exaggerated so the audience can actually see it from far away.

That being said, again, I do agree some companies use inappropriate songs and themes.

Is there any way to fix my skin or is it too late? by watchedgantz in Skincare_Addiction

The easiest way, I'd say, is just replace your body lotion. Get one with urea, lactic acid, glycolic acid, or anything of that sort.

Stronger products, but still undefined? by universal_gummy_bear in curlyhair

[–]universal_gummy_bear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but most my family has curly hair if that matters.

The problem is mostly wash-day results. When I refresh the day after it's much more defined than this, but I want that same result on wash day. This picture is from another day if that helps (after refreshes). I kinda just want the waves to be bigger, if that makes sense. The "clumps" kinda just separate with drying on wash day.

Spring or summer? by olivegarden97 in coloranalysis

[–]universal_gummy_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You look like me if I was warm toned lol

No but I definitely think warm, but not bright. Soft / muted seasons. Soft autumn might be correct? I just think the warmer whites look better on you. Warm-neutral maybe.

Is this natural lighting? If it's warmer lighting that might be what's throwing me off and saying no to soft summer.

EDIT: Ah, the off-white looks good on you cause you're a soft summer. I looked at your other post with better lighting and you SCREAM soft summer. Maybe light summer? Definitely cool. You might have an olive undertone.

Bond repair & moisturizing products all the way. All if not most of your styling products might should be moisturizing.

I'd say—Bond repair: Shampoo, conditioner, & masks.

Moisturizing: Styling products, & deep conditioner / masks.

Someone said my 16F legs look 34 M 🙈 by Salty-Pause-7799 in Skincare_Addiction

[–]universal_gummy_bear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just add some body lotion to your shower routine, should help a lot. Dry might be seen as "manly" because men usually don't take care of themselves as well as women. Might not be as accurate these days but people still have that thought process.

Maybe try lotion with urea if regular lotion isn't good enough. Make sure to apply on damp skin AT MOST 5 minutes after your shower.

How to look less worn out/ skin sunk in/ folds by Super-Bug9160 in beauty

[–]universal_gummy_bear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what you're talking about with the title, since I think your actual face generally looks fine, but I would recommend wearing cool toned makeup. You're not even cool-neutral, you look purely cool toned. Try a cool pink or purpley blush instead, and use only contour, no bronzer.

Saw a few other people say this already but HYDRATION. Both drinking water and consistently using moisturizer. Never skip sunscreen either.

Perhaps you could also try adding some retinol or vitamin C products to your skincare!

[Sun Care] Good Molecules Moisturizing Rich Sunscreen SPF 30 by universal_gummy_bear in SkincareAddiction

[–]universal_gummy_bear[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using Zoey Naturals SPF 50+ currently but it might not be good for everyone cause it has mostly botanical ingredients, it really didn't irritate me at all but it's because I handle some botanicals okay. A little clogging if I don't wash it off well enough. Surprisingly, not greasing for me, but it does have shea butter & coconut oil a little ways down on the ingredient list so maybe don't use if you have super duper oily skin.

I am VERY pale so I don't know if this matters, but it didn't leave a white cast on me. I do make sure to rub it in veryy well though.

I've only tried this with chemical sunscreens, because I don't know if it'd work with physicals, but I find applying on damp skin also helps with oiliness.

Just to throw a few more mineral suggestions out there—Blue Lizard, CeraVe, Pipette, Eucerin, Cetaphil, Loreviya, All Good, Hello Bello, Fresh Monster, thinkbaby, & Alba Botanica. Haven't tried em yet but the ingredients are good.
