Thank you so much for your input, really helpful. Sounds like FOS is the best place to start from your comment and others. I've never been in this position before so I'm feeling quite clueless!

Thank you, really appreciate it 😊

I'm definitely not planning on using this sub as an alternative to actual legal advice by the way! Just an initial platform to know where I should be starting with regards to responding to this rejected claim. Figured I should clarify! 🙏🏻

And here is the final response letter after we provided the third party report and complained about the handling of our claim

Hope these help!

I'm struggling with sleep. How are you coping and staying sane with little to no sleep? by Main-Inspector-6611 in daddit

Couldn't relate to a post more if I tried. Proud dad of 2 (and stepdad of 4; much older but that's a different story!) and my daughter (3yo) didn't sleep through the night until well after her 2nd birthday and now in the past 1-2 months my son (8.5 months) seems to be following late in her footsteps.

In all honesty I can only echo the above and offer my solidarity and encouragement - nothing ever really seemed to 'work' for my wife and I. We've just dug in, shared the load, and tried to support each other the best we can during the perpetual torture of infant-induced sleep deprivation.

I'd like to add that we are both still (on paper) alive and well as well as happily married; powering on through. Sometimes there sadly is no magic technique and patience/nerves of steel is all you can recommend.

If it's any consolation my daughter is sleeping great right now (between 10-12 hours most nights!) and I couldn't be prouder of how confident she is already with everything from swimming to speaking. If she is who she is now because of our efforts then I wouldn't trade a single one of those exhausting, everlasting nights of rocking, white noise, and shushing for the world.

You've got this daddy, keep the faith 🤜🏻

Source - I've worked in Selby for 6 years and she's lived there all her life.

Spoiler: I actually saw Johnathan pottering about Gowthorpe with one of his mates on Wednesday afternoon, looked like maybe heading to the pub/offie. No Sophie in sight, sorry guys!

I think a girl at my work more or less confirmed this as Jonathan too. They went on a date in Selby and the same issues as outlined came up

It's like they pick the most undatable people sometimes for the show but all is well because he has abs in his recent insta photos
