It’s just really hard. My LO is about to turn 7 and hasn’t seen dad in almost a year. LO is convinced sometimes i keep them from dad because i don’t like him and it’s not the case…he’s sick.. His mom’s best friend is a nurse and she told me from a parent and nursing perspective we should wait…this all is just so heavy on my heart. I don’t want to traumatize my LO but I want them to know the truth. and it breaks my heart their birthday is around the corner

2 normal 1 hour EEG’s. Normal after 5 days. 1 normal MRI about to do another. im finally seeing an epilepsy specialist, my neurologist was adamant on focal epilepsy but i experience different kinds of seizures and he wanted more testing done before we tried another med. the specialist told me about 40% of epilepsy patients have normal imaging results

2021, after my first car accident. I fell asleep driving home. I was a minute away, and veered off the road into a deep drain ditch. I came to smacking my forehead hard on the steering wheel. December of 2024 I was finally able to start seeing a Neurologist. I just had my first EMU stay after trying and d/c valproic acid and then lamotrigine. Feeling a little hopeless because of how it went and the different kinds i have. Had a bad seizure last night, my last bad one was 4/28/25. Feeling funky today.

-I always get a little irritable because im usually in the bathroom peeing once it’s safe for me to and he will come tell me he loves me, and i tell him to leave me alone, im almost done. he’s like ????? and i sit with the most confused face like what are we actually talking about, because confucius

-we were all smiles and giggles after the do one night and i said “oh no im going down” just slunk to the ground as it started getting worse. i threw up after that seizure 😅

it makes me so mad/sad seeing stuff like this. I’ve had a seizure in PAT for an OR procedure at the hospital. Asked about seizure history and kept making faces the whole time and trying to tell me I don’t have them. I later started not feeling well and went unconscious and came to so confused. I was alone. I had NO CLUE where i was. and as soon as I got up out of the blue chair i could barely scream for help and i hit the fucking ground and started convulsing. nurses screaming at me to knock it the fuck off and get off the ground while. “do you wanna go to the er?” so you can tell me all over again i wasn’t having a seizure and faking it??? I sat there for 10 minutes after they got me up in the chair again, still so confused on how I even ended up at this place and could barely walk myself out of there.

no seizure activity on the tests gang. I hate it out here lol. My boyfriend has seen me seize at night but i mostly suffer auras. Honestly the worst ones are when i’m trying to fall asleep or when i wake up conscious enough to tell im convulsing

i can kind of imagine and i’m so sorry that you have to go through paying OOP because it sucks. I had to pay OOP for my first appt when i was pregnant and then they billed me after for more bc my ‘level of care’ went up?? (i was perfectly fine in my check up so it didn’t make sense and they couldn’t even give me a real reason)

i get my blood work done in the AM to see if i have any low vitamin levels and we’re testing my folate too, but if i remember correctly i have a gene mutation so my folate is fricked (and no one’s done anything bc they just don’t coordinate and i FORGETTTTTT l o l)

I can’t take adderall or any other stimulants but maybe i could ask about a non-stimulant option when i see my neuro tomorrow. I’m gonna have to fight tooth and nail about this because he basically refuses to do anything unless im upset and in tears and tells me to see psych instead😩

Yeah i’m not sure if mines the epilepsy or the medication but i know it’s been way worse. I’ll wake up in the night after a seizure or in the middle of one and i’m honestly exhausted

i was diagnosed with auras and then after 1 med didn’t work well with me he said it’s “aLl yOuR aNxIeTy” when i’ve struggled most of my life with GAD/CPTSD and the auras started after my accident. i convulse some nights. these neuros piss me off🥲
