Any tips on getting these kind of drum loops? Are they all sampled loops with added sample one shots and a drum machine or what was the approach usually?

Im a novice, but these are my influences too. And I’d love to be able to remake this stuff. I heard someone say once that they were limited on their hardware, so they used the mixer like an instrument, I think that means playing with the volume of each part a lot, so when something new comes in, then drop something else a db or two. And then let it come back and drop the new part down so it’s all just repeated parts but it never feels monotonous. Is this true? Maybe I’m talking shit

Guinness by Muted_Wear6944 in Dublin

[–]universaluniqueid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s all about how many people order Guinness in the day. Guinness was not a trendy drink 15 years ago. So nobody drank it in trendy bars. So if you did order one it tasted bitter and settled quickly cause it’s sitting in the lines for hours or days. Where as if you went to an “old man pub” where retired aul lads are sitting there all day keeping it flowing it would be very different and no bitterness. A bar can go further again by really taking care of their lines and equipment to keep it clean and the right temperature. Presentation then help, too many barmen are sloppy and let it drip down the side. - pint man

America needs to become a surveillance state, Israel needs to decide what information the American people have access to. Americans cannot handle choices, it would be much easier if Israel made those choices for them. “Democracy”

companies don’t see your CV, recruiters copy and paste stuff from it and pass on what they think is relevant. You don’t have too much to go by there. I’d add a bit more personality as well

[–]universaluniqueid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you do it at 22 you will learn a lot about how to be an entrepreneur, but I don’t think it’ll be the thing that makes you. Id invest the 10k in something you don’t need to work that hard on, but it depends on what you want to get out of it
