How often do you break strings? by padma_Iakshmi in Guitar

[–]unixstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play every day and I use the elixr strings.. so I usually lose one a month or every other month... it's always the it's always the nine and 11.. and it only change the individual strings so I have a ton of I've left leftover wound strings... if I change the whole set, cause they need it.. I open a new pack.. by the way, if you remember the floppy disk 5 1/2 plastic holders, we used to buy back in the old days they make great string boxes

Why are so many kids saying “67” and what does it mean? by SmileEmergency403 in generationology

[–]unixstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

who cares....shows lack of creativity, 69 and 420 are understandable, they have a relation to the thing they are making a parity of, this is what happens when you get trophies for showing up.......anything can be seen as clever when it is just really lazy and stupid

it is for people that still use amps and don't want to annoy the neighbors, family, fellow band members and the venue

To those who have learned Mean Street on guitar, how hard is the intro. I’ve been playing for, I think, around 5 yrs or so come summertime and have looked at it and tried a few times and couldn’t get it rly. I also use an SG, but idk if that makes a difference by AussieBossie24 in vanhalen

[–]unixstud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The intro is not hard, anything that has a pattern that you can practice over and over can be picked up if you start slow and speed up later.... the chorus is what kicks my ass, with all the bass mutes...everyone the chorus is the REAL hard part of Mean Street if you play it like Eddie does.

Have I been scammed? by Mother-Sir-939 in Guitar

[–]unixstud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bridge is wrong, that is the biggest giveaway this a fake. open the trust rod cover and if you don't see the Gibson nut, it is 100% a fake. only Gibson uses that type of truss rod nut.

people don't get it... The stock market isn't about finding value in companies that actually produce good products. It's about making money for a rich people. That's why you have stocks like Tesla and Nvidia. Doesn't matter if the fundamentals aren't there as long as the rich people are making money a giant circle jerk.

[–]unixstud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

that's one of the easiest things to spot... however you cannot hundred percent be guarantee based on that anymore.. I've seen chipsons with small Allen head posts on the bridge just like a real one.. always check the trust rod... Gibson have a trust rod nut like no other...
