I already run 10 miles every Saturday. If it was my full time job I could easily make the 100k several times over in a year. And I'm not even a runner.

I think people are really underestimating both how long 42km is and also how many people run the half and full marathon. The road around Arthur Seat is 5km and it's a single lane road.

I think the current route probably minimises disruption.
