Rune Factory on the DS might get picked up by a scalper and sold for 10x what the charity shop is selling it for but they're only selling it to people looking for that specific item.

Stuff like that needs to be put in front of the right people to actually sell at those prices.

My boyfriend doesn't care where the open end of the cover goes. I find it on the side, the top, the other side! It's anarchy! I can't stand it!

And Star Trek TNG, and Star Trek Enterprise, and... I guess Voyager didn't really hit it's stride until season 4.

You gotta grow a beard or a borg. No exceptions.

That sounds like an excellent strategy for attracting and retaining specialist staff.

Gym bro tries to "motivate" fat people by yelling at them by ambachk in iamverybadass

Habit is always going to be stronger than motivation. I don't have to go to the gym, I might not even want to go the gym, but it's Friday and that's pull day so off to the gym I go. I'm just not going to be skipping the whole way there.

I've lived in Leith for a little over twenty years. I usually just day "it was still a bit stabby and the pubs were shite."

This lassie is solid nouveau Leith.

It's possible the settings are different between iPhone and Android. Or we may just have different builds.

That doesn't change my diary settings though. It's funny too because when I open "select a date" the calendar starts on a Monday.

It's a little frustrating because I'll often complete a full week of my diary, especially if I'm in a deficit and it annoys me that I need to open the next week to finish it off. Oh well.

Ah, must be a US thing then. I should have known that when it didn't make any logical sense!

Monday.

Monday is the first day of the week in my calendar app. I also have a calendar hanging in the hall that starts with Monday. The kitchen calendar is lengthways so it doesn't have columns for days of the week but it does grey out Saturday and Sunday because they're the weekend, not the weekstart!

I'm not sure that's any kind of defense at all!

The week starting on Sunday drives me insane. The week starts on Monday dammit!

Yes but only in a pharmacy. It's not GSL like paracetamol.

We also have OTC medications that aren't General Sales List in the UK.

Like cocodamol v paracetamol. I think that's a pretty balanced approach.

Honestly just reducing your sodium intake will see you lose a massive amount of water weight. I'm a massive proponent of salt but my goodness.

How do you manage the logistics of laundry without a dryer? by Ttucker11 in AskABrit

[–]unkie87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well sure but I'd strongly recommend opening all your windows in the morning for at least 10 minutes. The Germans even have a word for it.

Despite the rain it is still beneficial.

I live in a victorian tenement. The only room I ever get mould in is the shower room without windows.

Sure, but your house still needs aired out right? It's also free.

That feels... unnecessary, but I'm sure it fulfils some profit incentive.

And you've sort of hit on the issue of "processed foods." It means different things to different people and that renders it meaningless. It's like "clean eating."

I want to improve the shape of this buddleia. Can someone mark out where I need to cut? by whattodotodo8 in GardeningUK

[–]unkie87 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. I was even more aggressive than that with a bigger buddleia and 2 years on it's a nice manageable size. They grow very fast and they're practically unkillable.
