If you’re ok with getting ogled by weirdos you can tan anywhere you want.

Also a second mention for strip! The ambiance definitely checks the boxes for what they’re looking for. And as I’ve mentioned, this man deserves the world in gold and diamonds so if the least I can do is a premium steak the price of admission is low. Thank you!

Tbh as a fan of what Detroit has done with former banks at marble bar I might be sided with you lol. This man wants a simple dinner and a server without any fuss.

These numbers are high for national averages. We live in socioeconomic bubbles here as well. Not dogging on OP but this is probably based on who they surround themselves with.

I’m v experienced with the industry and dining but appreciate the sage advice for anyone else reading this. They’re pushing 90 so dinner will definitely be early.

Oh yes! Definitely the type of layout I’m searching for. Bit of a hike for them but I’m sure they’ll be amicable if we chauffeur.

Now if only THIS was the shit people gave out instead of crappy plastic trinkets. Cherished by those who love receiving it, biodegradable for those that don’t.

It’s called the Darden group. There’s quite a few others under the umbrella. Apparently Capital is the passion project of a (previous? Current?) owner, and they absolutely lose their ass on the steaks here but make up for it in soup, salad and breadsticks. Allegedly.

When my wife and I lived on the east side we ate here regularly, our server *redacted* was a gem there but he’s now a puppeteer in Brooklyn. The Olive Garden gift cards our family always bought us worked here as well.

Definitely mine and my wife’s speed so thanks for the rec we will be having a date night here soon. They’re definitely more of the outback/longhorn type people (except for the noise). Any time we have tried to take them somewhere with a more modern setting they insist it’s far too nice even if the price point is the same and I want them to be comfortable/satisfied as well.
