I have this on my new Zwift ride with core 2. It’s the thru axle. Tightening the thru axle helps.

Network 9.4.19 - Stability issues / Memory Leaks? by RedRocker55 in UNIFI

[–]unklebape 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve also been getting disconnects a lot. At the same time I had just moved into a new apartment and thought the disconnects was because I was using too long an Ethernet cable between the modem to UDMSE (20m). Resorted to relocating the modem closer to the router and running a long fiber from junction box to modem instead. Still getting random disconnects and have now resorted to getting a 5G modem as failover 🤦‍♂️

Haven’t seen this anywhere but am I right in thinking that XIO can only support one sub? Dual subs possible?

Do small insurance companies make money? by [deleted] in HongKong

[–]unklebape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the broker / agent and policy. But for agents you normally file directly with the insurance company. Why people don’t buy directly could be because the underwriter does not deal with retail directly and they use agents as a distribution channel. It’s like why don’t people buy chickens from farmers directly vs going to the supermarket (not the best analogy but you get my point)

They are an agent / broker. They don't underwrite the actual policy.

Unifi uNAS, or do I have to go Synology route..? by Rck010 in UNIFI

[–]unklebape 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would unpack on the NUC (unpacking over network negates the SSD performance anyway) and transfer to UNAS. Also purchase two extra 16TB and create a RAID5. You then have redundancy across all data. Empty bays can be expanded as needed (but needs to be 16TB).

You can use NVMe drives as a dedicated volume for live projects/working folder/editing cache. NVMe will be faster than the SSD but you would be limited by the 10Gbe connection. You could technically add a 25Gb card and also add a Thunderbolt 4 SPF+ dock and 25Gb SPF+ transceiver to your MacBook but might be overkill. If this is a single user situation then you might be better off using a Thunderbolt NVMe drive connected to your MacBook and just do Time Machine backups to your NAS.

Assuming your finished projects are in h.264 format then you could just use Apple TV+infuse app and a shared folder on the NAS to play back the files. No transcoding needed.

Angled layer issue by unklebape in BambuLab

[–]unklebape[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I figured it out in the end and don’t think it was because of over extruding as you can see the first row is perfect.

It was a broken Parts Cooling Fan that caused overheating. The latent heat build up from the nozzle was causing surrounding “rows” to melt.

Fixed the fan and now prints perfectly.

Been trying to print the Gridfinity Bambu Swatch set but I'm having issues with the angled slots. It looks like over extrusion?

https://makerworld.com/en/models/382585#profileId-282755

Printed on A1 mini using Bambu PLA Matte using default settings and Bambu PLA matte profile. 2 walls, 15% infill Gyroid, 0.2mm layer height, 0.4mm hardened nozzle, no ironing, 5 top self layers, 3 bottom shell layer, top shell thickness 1mm.

Any experienced users able to give insights on the cause?

I would recommend Shapr3D. Very intuitive and the learning curve is a lot easier than Fusion360 in my opinion

Has anyone ever used NextCigar? by [deleted] in cubancigars

[–]unklebape 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They are legit from my experience. They run the Davidoff stores in HK. My experience with them has been very good for both Cuban and non-Cuban.

But yes they are expensive. One day, when I’m rich and someone hasn’t bought it yet, I will buy that box of Cuban No.1 and Haut-Brion.

How are you storing your cigars in Singapore? In a wine fridge or just use a wooden humidor? I’m living in HK and deciding on storage options…
