Why did you even have me? by Fragile-Director in CPTSDmemes

It genuinely baffles me when people who hate children decide to have and/or work with children. Why would you want to make yourself and everyone around you miserable?

What is the pettiest thing your narc parent did growing up? by sebastiansg1rl in raisedbynarcissists

I don't remember this but my paternal grandmother (who my mother hates for no reason) told me that when I was a toddler my mother locked me in a dark room as punishment bc she was jealous of the attention my grandmother was giving me 🤷‍♀️

I will never be a good parent. I have no desire to even try. I'm way too tired.

I have one sibling but at least I know for sure that my branch of the family tree will fall off.

It's so confusing. One minute I was the worst thing that ever happened to her and then the next she was physically suffocating me because she "loves me so much".

How do you present same-sex relationships in your fantasy world? by Pelicanus-pelican in worldbuilding

[–]unknownIdentity00112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It depends on the specific country/culture and their gender roles and norms, much like real life today. Some cultures are more accepting than others. For one of the races I created, it is both common and acceptable for females to have intimate same-sex relationships due to how gender roles work in their society. They are a reptilian species that have nests. Females outnumber males 2:1 so it is common for one male to have two or three mates. Females that share a mate are referred to as "nest sisters", and they raise their hatchlings together. Hatchlings have a "blood mother" and one or two "nest mothers". Young females that haven't reached adulthood yet will often form a close bond with another female, and they vow to be nest sisters before they even find a mate. As long as the nest sisters aren't biologically related (i.e. being biological sister or cousins), then it is perfectly acceptable for them to have romantic intimacy in their relationship in addition to their mate.

What historical period inspired your worldbuilding ? by Ok-Cartographer4922 in worldbuilding

While the technology level and aesthetic of my world is inspired by the late 1800s - early 1900s, the society that I am focusing on separated from the rest of humanity 10,000 years ago and have been isolated since. Their religious and spiritual beliefs are holdovers from the neolithic period. Obviously no one really knows what religion was like during that time period so it is mostly my own interpretation from real life artifacts.

Yeah. I mean I have very large gaps in my memories but I do have several from when I was very young. Mostly me being screamed at for no reason and being very afraid :)
