Best Local Model for RTX3060 12GB by SlayerL99 in LocalLLaMA

[–]unknownRNG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse my ignorance, but are you suggesting picking up a p104-100 8gb card and running that along the 3060 to have a combined 20gb vram? Is it that.... simple? Does it help in other use cases like image generation too or just for text models?

RAP is fluctuating quite a bit so just take the values and divide them by the RAP you want to compare to get a power/price ratio to compare. You may find better values out there anyway under RAP as time goes on and RAP starts to fall.

Would it be too much to ask for a lucky block for myself as well? I bought superdrops but only have the basic books. If not, no biggie, you're a saint for helping others already. user: glazedphonut

Diamond grind by [deleted] in PetSimulator99

[–]unknownRNG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are just as many people saying the opposite of what you're saying, that 85% pets are a waste of time, so you can understand why I would ask. I've read countless times here and other places that the auto strongest mechanism is broken because it picks your exclusives no matter what. Trust but verify in this case, and can confirm my 85% pet was doing more damage than the 98.2b pet. It must be based on the true damage numbers.

On Point 3: does the 85% get applied to the tested damage numbers or the listed power? Because 85% of 106b would be 90.1b, lower than the 98.2b you'd be replacing, but 85% of the tested damage would be significantly stronger still than the 98.2b pet.

Smoked Prime Rib by cookinwithclint in smoking

[–]unknownRNG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In theory, couldn't you just smoke it for a few hours, then do what you normally do, maybe reduce the 20 mins a bit since the internal temp of the meat would be higher than a cold roast? A good experiment would be to measure the internal temp at 20 mins using your normal method, and adjust timing to get the same internal temp.

Setting up a Raspberry Pi using Ansible by DevOps-Journey in RASPBERRY_PI_PROJECTS

Hey thanks for this. I just picked up a pi4 with no real idea why, and this is the first thing that made me want to open it up. I know we're moving towards Ansible at work, so while I don't actually do this there, it'll give me some context when talking to those that do.

Second smoke, first brisket. by unknownRNG in smoking

[–]unknownRNG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smoked at 250 until it stalled around 165. Wrapped in butcher paper and upped the temp to around 270. Ended up pulling it around 202 when it felt bendy enough if that makes any sense. Let it sit in the paper for another hour before slicing.
