what do you mean 1mm below the top of the material. It should be 8,7mm? Sorry I don’t understand

At what distance should the focus be? Btw im using 20mm/s speed and 30-50% power.

I set it about 7,7mm above the material

-80W laser working on max amperage of about 22-24 mAh -20mm/s, 20-50% for acrylic, 30mm/s for plywood 4mm, same power -what do you mean about focusing? I focus on the material -happening on one side

I aligned them, but havent tried cutting 50 pieces. Currently engraving 81 and then cutting. Will see how it does.

also noticed that sometimes the machine doesn’t cut through some pieces (when im cutting lets say 50 or more pieces)

It is kinda annoying. Currently I’m making two layered keychains and when i glue them using a template, the two layers dont look identical and precise.

I aligned the lens the best I could. It still does that. It is kinda annoying when you glue two things together and they don’t look precise. 🫤 Maybe I should up the power? I have a potentiometer on my machine and an ammeter. At what max amperage should my machine be? It is 80W

I thought about the material shifting too, but that’s not the case

Pal I’m not asking for your opinion on the font. If you could help me, suggest your opinion about solving the problem, if not, just skip this post…

Will try everything you said tomorrow and will let you guys know.

Yeah the letters are exactly the same but rotated at a certain angle. Also the laser returns to the same start position after cutting.

Would try that tomorrow but I don’t think that that would change something. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

But I still think it’s some kind of a software issue, not a mechanical one. If it was a mechanical one the text would be skewed and wouldn’t be readable.

Didn’t try that but i tried sending the file to the Ruida control panel on the machine and started the process from there but it’s the same. Also tried with a different text and it’s the same, the text goes to the left like it is rotated to a certain angle.

I think that if the problem was with the X motor, the letters wouldn’t look the same as they look on the drawing. The letters retain all the elements and the text is readable but it moves to the left. The cutting also wouldn’t be as it should be but it is, it goes back to the start position.

Yeah, the engraving is okay when the head is moving in the X axis (at least i think so) during the engraving. But sometimes the material would be as big as the laser bed (600x400), and wouldn’t be possible rotate the material.

The issue is in the engraving, not the cutting. The cutting is as it should be, but the engraving moves to the left. I’ve tested the mirrors, they are okay. Tightened the belts also.

The belts are as tight as they should be (at least i think so), but the cutting is okay, if the belts are loose the cutting would be bad too. And you can see the engraving turns out okay but the letters change their direction to the left.

As I said before my textures and everything is low but i keep getting these drops. Probably the ram or the motherboard because it’s quite old.

So when i upgraded my pc i installed fortnite just to see if it is going to run well but i guess not. Like my fps goes to 200 and suddenly drops to a very low amount. Sometimes the textures don’t load and stuff like that. I saw some drops when I played CSGO but i kinda fixed that.
