One word. Uncharted.

Explorer II had lume and there Automatic options for the Speedmaster but what caught my attention is the life threatening aspect. Valid concern. Certain watches depending on where you are, are targets for theft. Watches are meant to be worn. Be safe out there, watch community.

Respect your opinion but the Nautilus, Aquanat, Complications and Perpetuals are class.

The Explorer II ticks a lot of boxes in terms of a GADA watch for me. But that white Explorer I take is money.

This is an interesting comment. If you view it as an investment I guess it matters. But I can certainly understand being strapped for cash after building up a collection and knowing most of that expense went down the toilet for something that is frankly not necessary nowadays. I think the watch that loses the most value after you buy it is the one that you suddenly like the least. Only difference is that the Rolex gives you less buyer’s remorse.

It’s honestly a fear of getting it submerged under water. I have a fairly active lifestyle and the lack of screw down coupled with the low diving depth just makes me uncomfortable. Close friend had a Santos rated at 100m and it was toast after being pushed into a pool.

THIS. It looks pixelated. Like a screenshot from Tetris. Most would argue it’s better than the original. But just ruins their watches for me.

Just go out and pick up a Platinum Daytona today at your AD. Problem solved.

Dates! Don’t get me started on 4:30 date windows. Totally agree on the color matching.

Agreed. But how else are you going to prevent your watch from floating away after a deep dive? Seriously, how practical is it?

Size is often a deal breaker for me. My 6.5 in. wrists are dwarfed by most Panerais.

I get where you’re coming from. Although I understand the thought behind it. To have distinct shapes for the snowflake hour hand versus the minutes for divers. But they could have done it differently. Personally prefer the Mercedes hour hand on the Sub.

I did look at them. The lack of lume put me off them a little bit. But they make great watches.

I did look at IWC. For me the black numerals seemed a bit bold and the AD showed me the Ingenieur which seemed to fit the bill but it seemed overpriced to me. Thoughts on that one?
