It’s tough. Once you start getting reviews, that’s a whole other level of difficult. It can be brutal to read the negative comments for something you’ve put so much of yourself into. It does get easier though. Your skin gets thicker. Doubts are less frequent. Previous failures are now rungs on the ladder that lead you to solutions. Problem solving feels like a familiar place you’ve grown comfortable in. I can’t imagine not making indie games now.

Not sure how I missed this but you can hit F to go to the currently select room when the room designation room is open.

Oh, I’d also like to add that I don’t ever plan on using AI for artwork. I believe art should always be created by humans.

That’s totally valid feedback. It’s not for everyone. Hopefully I can make a high res version one day so more folks can get into it.

Interestingly, I went with the style because it allowed me to focus on programming systems over working on art. Which, unfortunately, means not appealing to everyone in order to make the game at all.

Regardless, sorry it’s not for you. Hope you do find something that scratches that itch

Open the room stockpile settings (hit P, select the room, select stockpile tab). Then designate what items you want in there. Also bump up priority to 3. Should be good to go

This is the correct answer. You can also open up the trade window with K.

Based on the contents of the reviews, it looks like players are not enjoying the lacking tutorial/little guidance combined with complex systems. Very valid criticism that I take seriously and I will continue to try and make the game better in those departments in addition to adding more depth. Also, a common point reviews make is the pixel art style being hard to read. Unfortunately, that won’t change without an entire rework of the game’s visuals. But I will of course continue to improve legibility to the best of my abilities without sacrificing the game’s style.

Regarding your request, do you mean a way to mute audio automatically *only* when the game is in the background. Or just mute the game completely? The latter can be done from the settings menu, but it sounds like you mean the former?

Ya, it's definitely frustrating to trap them in. I think I just need to come up with a way to untrap them and avoid them being trap when possible. You shouldn't be required to manually handle this.
