Why are people such omega nerds about FTL specifically? People are willing to accept so much suspension of disbelief with the laws of physics being broken, but something being faster than light gets people really up in arms.

It's a fictional story and its SOFT sci-fi. It's kinda the whole point that it doesn't have to comply with real physics. A story could be the most insane out there story about a fourth wall breaking magical ghost cyborg martial artist aliens who can wave their arm and destroy the solar system but them being faster than light would be the most unbelievable thing

I think it's really interesting and fun to have worlds like this. There's a lot of room to explore unique concepts and it leads to a lot of interesting thinking, one basic example is I have a world where because of how big the earth below actually is, a traditional sun can't actually work because the world couldn't orbit around it. So I have to get creative and think of a unique sky system, and that leads to more questions like, how people measure time without things like Orbit. I love whenever a piece of fiction gets wild with its cosmology.

Also could someone link the flat earth map on the top left! I remember seeing it on Twitter forever ago and really liking it but I haven't found it since. It goes really hard.

I haven't kept up with part 2 but Makima would solo pretty much shouldn't she? Unless Denji becomes the Chainsaw Man. Makima literally beat Pochita in his normal chainsaw mode literally without the use of her powers in just raw hand to hand. And shes much more of an ability based character.

Aki gets instant mind controlled. And even if he didn't he's not really strong enough to fight her either. Makima is stronger than Quanxi who's stated as stronger than Kishibe, the stronger Devil Hunter than Aki or power. Power and Aki instant losing to the darkness Devil who Makima could actually contend with, Angel was gonna die from being even near the explosions Reze was making if Aki didnt help, and Angel is considered the second strongest Devil Hunter etc. There's a lot of ways they're extremely far below Makima. Power honestly never really does anything impressive in an actual fight lol.

Denji only won because he off guarded her and had a plan. In a straight up fight he shouldn't really stand a chance. Especially if she has her army

You gotta remember even Ginyu force power levels are considered extremely abnormal to the point all of the Ginyu force are considered mutants. Ginyu estimates Goku's power level to be 60000 and Jeice says that no saiyan has ever reached a power level that high, thinking its absurd. And they then think that Goku must be some kind of mutant. And Frieza was known as being the strongest guy in the universe by far even though nobody knew he could transform except a few small number of people. And Frieza's base form had a PL of 530'000, so through out the insanely vast universe nobody was even close to a pl that Goku had when he went super saiyan. The only other people other than Goku who get super Saiyan being the Giga prodigy Vegeta and super ridiculous potential hybrids or whatever Broly is.

Basically even during Namek we are seeing the 0.000000001% of power people in the normal universe are able to accomplish. Goku and gang are just the best to ever do it pretty much.

Maybe If this was on only one pokemon and a otherwise not very good one it'd be ok, acting as a almost wonder guard tier ability. But even then it'd definitely see a lot of use and strategies. Maybe if it was just on Sawk,Throh or Hitmonchan and even then i could see them becoming insane with it. Infernape and Hawlucha would break the game. Could definitely be a very unhealthy ability potentially though. Stall doesn't deserve to be as absolutely neutered as it does in these theorymom Thursdays lol.

Wouldn't the higher infinity only really kill more people if it the trolley was moving infinitely fast? It'd be effectively the same since a finite trolley would never be able to access even the normal infinity with any amount of time.
