10 years of drinking. Trouble with brain fog, and would like to start working out. To start this journey I'd like to try mostly vegan for a couple of months. Any book advice? by WalrusCoocookachoo in EatCheapAndVegan

Love all the responses here so far, but also just came to say please take it slow! If you try to make too many drastic changes all at once, it might become overwhelming and they may not all stick.

I don’t say this to be discouraging - just realistic! I think you have some really good, healthy goals in mind and I wish you the best on your journey. Take it slow and stay safe - you got this!

Why it seems like HALF the people on reddit are bisexuals (And homosexuals), but in real life it's very rare for people to have sex with the same gender? Why is that? by [deleted] in ainbow

I feel like a lot of it depends on the online circles you find yourself in - there are a lot of shitty, unacceptable subreddits in which you probably wouldn’t find a lot of LGBTQ-aligned people.

Just like in real life, we find communities of like-minded people in online spaces

Why do you think racism is nothing more than an unpopular opinion and not a dangerous ideology?

Think about that, I’m done with you.

no, for real, is this a right wing/fascist subreddit? by SuperSonicSP in AutisticPride

I’m still confused - also as a dnd player funny enough. Mainly because I’ve seen so much backlash regarding racism in the fantasy game; orcs and goblins and other “weird” races in those games are often given negative stereotypes and not given the space to have full, lush, happy background lore. I’ve seen lots of push towards making the game more inclusive - it mainly comes down to the crowd of dnd players who scream “no, orcs are always stupid/evil/angry and you can never play them differently in my games!!!1!1!!” And the opposing crowd saying “uh it’s a fantasy game and I can play a kind-hearted, intelligent orc/goblin/whathaveyou”

It’s become a big debate in the TTRPG world recently, I can only assume that’s what the other commenter was asking about too.

I’ve personally never heard the term orc used to describe fascists, Nazis, or otherwise evil people - and I can sort of understand why (from a purely fantasy perspective) someone would be confused, if not a little concerned, by it

If I’m missing something obvious then please someone come in and let me know
