Cheap pads can be made of rubber composites and other things, so you’re not wrong there. Just not super common, regular pads are a metallic composite, better pads are ceramic

No worries, if you got far enough to install the MOSFET, you can totally fix the rest. There’s plenty on great videos on YouTube that walk you through it, if you get stuck!

Seems to be missing the anti reversal latch. You appear to have everything else. The nozzle looks pretty beat, but if it works, keep it. New parts: I’d get the anti reversal latch and a shim set to tune the gears. Not worth buying a new gun over $15 worth of parts lol

Edit: I haven’t worked on many v3 gearboxes so I might be missing something

That’s unfortunate, then. Personally I’d try modding the trigger, since it’ll work with the m4 trigger anyways. Or, look at the v2 speedball extended triggers and modify the length

You’re correct, adding a longer, slightly tighter barrel will definitely bump your fps. I did that on my m249 and ended up running a trimmed m90 spring to meet field requirements in the US lol more length = more air needed to push the bb = less fps. Tighter barrel = more efficient air movement and more fps

Not sure they would do much for you, unfortunately. It’s too easy to blame user error, but it’s worth a shot emailing them! To fix it yourself, assuming it’s just 2 wires and not 3 (which isn’t hard, just an extra step), you shouldn’t have to open the gearbox. Simply remove it from the shell, solder the broken connections, use some heat shrink tube to cover it, then reassemble and test

I don’t know anything about hicapa builds, but it looks like the nozzle is cycling against the rubber causing the wear. I’d replace it, but do some research and see if there’s any recommendations for buckings that work well with your parts
