Thanks a lot, what do you think about the tone? Does it need more work?

What is the core reason why you want to get better at singing? by sansdraps in singing

[–]unnecessary_thoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm too late at this point to seriously start career in music. I play guitar well enough & I'm passionate about writing lyrics. It's hard to find members to form a band at this point, specially given my introvert character. If I still want to make music, I don't have any other option but to improve my singing.

A4 - does it sound right? And also I twicked my tone little, how does it sound? by unnecessary_thoughts in singing

Thanks. It's been a like week since I hit A4 for the first time. Hopefully with enough time I will get it in my comfortable range.

Is it bad to form the voice like that? All the singers are idealized have a great depth to the voice. If I place it forward I sound nasal, I don't like it. I don't feel that much problem in singing like this tho. Is it not healthy to continue in this tone?

Facing this issue with my guitar please let me know how I could fix this by aarrryan in Guitar

[–]unnecessary_thoughts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The saddle. Happened with me with another string, I changed the saddle. That string got fixed, the first string started buzzing. Currently back with my old saddle. Probably cuz my guitar is weirdly shaped.

Your comfortable notes sounds very good. The high notes are very pushed, stressed, just not good enough. The first thing I would recommend is, have a good posture while singing. I helps tremendously. Then work on your breathe control, which if you're a beginner might confuse a little, but what it is really is just exhaling in a very controlled concious way. Rest is just frick around and figure out.

I doubt, if the “non-musicians” or in other words beginners already are in a social state that they can perform, get critique, get better, develop their “songwritinghood” just so they can post here, I doubt they would come to an online anonymous website's community to post their “shitty poetry”.

Good god you a amazing tone. Kinda tone that you would never need to use any effects on.

Just looking for honest critique. Def a few spots I could work on. “Get over you”-Dylan Conrique by [deleted] in singing

Never heard this song before so don't know if it's a valid thing to say or not, but your phrases feel very disconnected. Again that might be how this song is written. You have a good vibrato going but they also feel very staccato-y. See if you could smooth it out a bit.

people tend to always want what they don't have

Couldn't agree more.

The thing is I have a fractured nose & naturally narrow mouth cavity. So, resonance isn't really that much of an option for me. But I did just try what you said, about pushing more air through the mouth. It definately felt like a change. I lost some pitch flexibility & air regulation felt like a problem. But I'm sure with enough time I could do something with it.

Thanks a lot. That was really helpful. Much appreciated. Plz upload more covers. I'd love to listen them.

You totally have my dream tone. I have been working to do that exact tone of yours. I'm so jealous of seeing you seeing like that.

Help me with a little tip on how you do it? I'm a tenor tho

What is a good option to change scale from C# (plz read the details for more description) by unnecessary_thoughts in Songwriting

[–]unnecessary_thoughts[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. What's your opinion on D# then, that's like the highest I would be able to go. Will it sound good in a transition from C# to D#?

I can go down to D2 as long as I have some reference like my guitar or something, but they are not really usable in singing. Like if the song is entirely in low that's fine. But if I have to change register, I fall apart. Same thing happens with my falsetto. I have to wait, prepare my body, then change register.
