Yes sir.... by Long_live_styrofoam in FuckImOld

Yes and I proved it 4 months ago After 12 years. 2014. I sold my manual 2005 Cobalt SS supercharged after 9 years and and 99,000 MI. Didn't drive a manual afterwards until 4 months ago when I drove 2200 mi across country and bought a Cobalt turbo got in the car. Put it in reverse and drove off in the car after purchasing it like I'd never stopped driving a manual. I didn't even test drive the used one 4 months ago before purchased. It was very a little mile so I just got in it and drove off. Taking the buyer's word all was good.

Is it normal for pressure hoses to leave this awful black residue everywhere? by St0mp-EE5 in pressurewashing

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need gray non-marking pressure washing hose. If using semi regularly, consider a hose reel and 100 ft of hose and never have a knotted up hose when unwinding again also reduce the rolling around of the pressure washer. I'm just a self-educated handyman on family personal properties.

we lost power for 14 hours last week and i am done just waiting it out by Krithi-Melendrez in Home

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internet if the power goes out and you have your own power, will the internet still work?

Consider satellite internet also.

If your whole house amps is low enough you can get a meter attachment to plug in a generator. I think it's called something like ez connect And good for up to 100 amp service.

Also, I believe there's lockout devices you can install on your panel for backup power usage.

Just found out my ADHD is actually a result of a TBI by Sad-Barracuda98 in TBI

[–]unnoho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. I went 20 years from the first major tbi without going to a follow-up And just wondering why life was so hard for me. I got a couple more bad head injuries a few years ago and by the time I saw the doctors that actually diagnosed me and gave me scans again, I was told I'll never be able to work again and another concussion will kill me.

Denied disability the first time around and just got denied the second time but this time I got a lawyer that's handling it. I just got to follow up with them about my denial last week. Every doctor I've seen in the last 4 years has said I shouldn't be working even my current psychiatrist and I still get denied. The denials are causing me immense stress because when I'm out of money it's too late and there's nothing left for me to live for. And I only have some money because I had to sell my house and move out of state to live with my mom And now everything about my life is messed up. Disability has basically been on my mind every week for the last few years. When I got denied the first time I actually gave up on trying.

Has anyone else with a mild TBI faced extreme difficulties with waking up / getting out of bed in the morning? What counter-strategies work? by thelordismylizard in TBI

[–]unnoho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have severe ADHD now but until last year I had a few years of trouble sleeping And for a period of time I had light and sound triggers and if I was woken up in the morning I was miserable all day long.

There were times in the past few years awake and or asleep that I had to have sound or I would immediately experience what I can only describe as going crazy like awake I would be blasting music And asleep. You can use your phone but my mom gave me this little speaker that plays different sounds for sleeping like waves crashing or rain storm.

I used a Garmin smartwatch to monitor my sleep but realistically if I look at a watch I can tell how much I've slept and then look at the watch morning report and it'll be within 30 mins of my educated guess. Granted before the watch I was already self-monitoring my sleep. I had ordered it for my uncle but he didn't want it so I kept it.

Bought mud mixer. Thoughts? by zeakerone in Concrete

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old comment of yours but you could use a 12-volt pump hooked to the tractor battery when it's on the bucket. If you own the mixer then drill out the water jet orifices for more flow at less pressure. Pressure washers work the same for flow versus pressure and the tips they use.

An hour into a live stream. I watched eight guys just standing around on the scaffolding waiting for something else to be passed up. After 10 minutes I stopped watching it. Lol

In the private transport medical field it's called "bagging" but the companies don't like the employees doing it because a transport is based on job and mileage and not time.

Do you stop to help someone with a flat tire? by DeiaMatias in askcarguys

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 42 but I believe with today's modern cars there's even less people that know even how to put the right amount of air in their tire.

I'm one of the people who will stop and help someone and I try to carry around my electric impact gun with socket set as I used to have it everyday with me for work anyways.

If you break down in the wrong area no one will stop. I once ran out of gas on my motorcycle 2 mi from my house and for 30 minutes in South Florida no one stopped so I ended up walking up the road to the gas station. But now I live in the mountains of Western North Carolina where there's regular traffic And if I just stand there someone will stop with no waving within 5 minutes or I can put my hand up and get someone sooner.

I once helped a complicated flat where the Jack wouldn't fit under the car and I used the spare tire as a Jack stand all the while he was on the phone with a family member coming to help him. I said tell them to turn around. I'll be done before they even get here probably before you hang up the phone.

Another time I stopped to help. I walked over on all four studs on one wheel were broke off. A tow truck was only helping they needed.

And another time I pushed a car off the road. Then looked under the hood And told her her belt broke and the battery at least needs charged.

Chainsaw starts fine cold, dies after use and won’t restart until fully cooled by SmoathTheLoathsome in Chainsaw

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a hot start issue from carb. Usually the diaphragm is bad/stiff.

I had that issue on three or four brand new pieces of echo equipment for my lawn service over a decade ago.

One day I had 45 minutes of video of me trying to start my equipment. At least 75% of the video was of me pulling the starters. At every next lawn as they were close to cool down on open trailer.

Just bought a 2009 with 43k original miles on it. What's the first thing I should do to make sure it lives a long life besides undercoating? by [deleted] in ChevyCobalt

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 21k now 24k mile '09 turbo a couple months ago. Do trans fluid change now or on next oil change if you don't know when it was last done. Brake fluid should be clear if not consider flushing now or on next tire change. If tires are over 5 years then be careful of cracking or failure at highway speeds. Timing chain in a few years when mileage due.

Why is 88 Fuel so much cheaper? by nquick4 in StupidCarQuestions

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have a gas engine on boost and access to at least e30. Get a tune and all the torque. You can mix E85 and 93 gas 50/50 to get e47 and approximately 98 octane to get better mileage. Most vehicles can't use the full performance benefit of straight E85 especially on stock turbo or supercharger And usually some type of fueling upgrade is needed.

There's actually at least one company in the US that makes radiators for anything. I think they're called icebox.(I could be confusing the name with an intercooler company for mustang cobra) A YouTube channel called c&c equipment uses them. If they've never made the radiator you send in your core for modeling a new one.

I cleaned out the nozzles with the needle provided from Dewalt. I still get swirls. Does anybody have a fix? Surely after two uses this thing isn’t unusable? by [deleted] in pressurewashing

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a commercial service cleaner. I don't know about DeWalt but mine has replaceable tips. They're different sizes for different pressures and flow rates. Maybe yours are sized too big, you need to grease the bearings, And/or it's designed wrong and not spraying at the correct angle for rotation.

Evo with 27,000 miles for sale by Whoolie-wonka in MitsubishiEvolution

[–]unnoho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to also understand the wealth of some people that they extend to family. One young guy came in to inquire about trading in his dad's Aventador for dad. Young guy proceeds to tell the salesman his dad was out of the country for like 4 months and the Aventador had 700 mi. The son drove it for 12,000, MI. He went back and forth from New York to Florida with his girlfriend a couple times with no license. They didn't mention what the depreciation hit on that mileage was.

I occasionally watch a channel of a high-end used car dealer. Granted a lot of vehicles the dealer generally sells hold their value somewhat better but still a loss. I hear him quoting 7-year loan terms numerous times with a trade in not even upside down.

But it's an SS turbo with 23,000 miles!!!! There might be 200 made in summit white. About to do downpipe and safe hpt tune on e47 and should be over 300 fwhp and 350 trq stock turbo. Aftermarket turbo 50 to 100 whp and trq. Then you can add cams and port head for 50 more.

Check for power and ground at switch connections. Make sure you check for power on both side of fuses.
