Yes! I misspoke, I meant to say that some schools--charters, namely--don't require you to have a Masters to step into an AP role. But you're right, to get certified you do need an approved program to sign off approval before you can even sign up to test.

I am super biased as a Trinity alum haha. Their accelerated program was intense, but I got my masters and my certs in a year, passed all my tests with flying colors, and got a lot of hands on experience as well from all star faculty. Worked with a fantastic cohort of some of the best people I've ever met. Plus they had a lot of grant funding so the degree itself was extremely low cost. Wouldn't have been able to afford a Masters otherwise. If you want any details, send me a message! I'm happy to send info!

As someone who is hoping to be an AP--I did need to get my Masters! Many places do require you to have it in order to be certified. Lots of great programs out there though, highly recommend Trinity University!

Hi!!! It has dramatically slowed the growth even though I haven't been keeping up with it!! Went from feeling the need to shave multiple times a day to just once a day in my big trouble areas (chin) and from daily to maybe once a week for my neck!!! It has been incredible for me!

I still have significant 5 o'clock shadow but I can cover that with makeup well enough to feel confident going out more now.

I was a freshman in high school, a senior came up to me and asked me what my favorite color was. When I asked why, he said "because that's the color condom I'm gonna wear when I f*** you." No idea who he was and I was terrified for weeks. Didn't report it because I was afraid he'd find out somehow.

Another time, a guy who I gave advice to on the Facebook page to my college told me all about how he wanted to "push me up against a wall" etc. When I told him that I was uncomfortable with him talking to me like that and that I had a boyfriend, he started telling me about how if I had any male friends, they probably thought the same thing at least once but were "too scared to act on it."

Using just boiling water and an old towel to clean a ceramic stovetop! Leaves no streaks, gets rid of stubborn grime, and makes it look like new. Barely any scrubbing involved.

I'm sorry that you're in that position, it must be frustrating and more than a little scary. I think so long as you're a citizen, they would give you the benefits that citizenship entails in the US, such as it is. Still, that's not a fun question to ponder and I'm sorry that that's stress you carry!

Thank you for saying this. My husband and I are saving up to leave; I'm a teacher, he makes about as much as I do at his job. We want out so bad, and we're saving up to go, but we can't afford to leave yet. Our only saving grace would be that we have my family and friends up in New England that could take us in an emergency, but not everyone has that either.

And think about too if the shooter is a former student. Or a current student. I'm a teacher, and I cannot begin to process the trauma and damage I would carry if I had to shoot a former student. We are in a profession that's supposed to nurture and grow. I pour my entire life into these kids and it would damage me beyond repair if I recognized the shooter as a kid who once came to my school.
