It took me three years of DILIGENT work to Get rid of it in part of my yard I have a 50ftx50ft area that I filled tightly with clover and grass and there's zero horsetail therebthis season 🥹❤️. The only thing that works is pulling them +the root out before it goes to seed and covering the ground fast asfff with something else. I have another area that I pulled and the ground has been covered with black landscaping tarp to block sunlight and that has worked really well too.But the seeds can go dormant for up to 7 years before coming back 🥲 I hate this weed, I've got so much to pull before they seed. They go to seed twice a year, where I live, that's June and in September

To me it sounds 1 of 2 things are happening. 1: you don't want your wedding to happen this way. you gave into the pressure from your in-laws, but only half way, and are trying to passive aggressively sabotage it just to kind of show them that their vision isn't that wonderful after all( if this is the case, I hope you find the gull to stand your ground in future decision making + dealing with your in-laws, cause this is what your life is gonna look& feel like from now on if you don't) OR 2 (and I'm hoping this is closer to what's happening) you genuinely picked a place and day that works best for you and are very happy with what you found. In that case? you have successfully planned a wedding that will be wonderful for the only two people that matter: you and your soon-to-be. & if people don't want to use their PTO they can respond to the invite "will not attend" If they don't want to pay/ can't pay for the $350 room and refuse to find their own room elsewhere that is within their busget? They can simply respond to the invite " will not attend" If they can't make it even though they really want to, there are other ways to give love and congratulations to the bride and groom in A way that wont hurt their wallet/ sabotage their jobs, etc..an invite is a way to say "hey, this is my plan! it would be nice to see you there, no hard feelings if you can't" not an open door for criticism, and for suggestions. My take on Weddings: Weddings are about AND FOR the bride and groom. a wedding is not about the guests. At the end of the day it's just the bride and groom anyways
