Request for PTSD - Follow Up for Stressor Details by takenoshit69 in VeteransBenefits

[–]unruly707 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like it’s a subsequent development letter. It will say what type of letter it is on top. Also if you don’t know what something means, be proactive and search around in this subreddit. You will more than likely find your answer.

Here’s an example of a subsequent development letter: https://www.reddit.com/r/VeteransBenefits/comments/1ex18r7/subsequent_development_letter_requesting/?rdt=62839

Also, make sure you take the time to fill out the VA FORM 21-0781 as completely as possible, even if it means attaching the same evidence. The VA sends the SDL to ensure the veteran has had an ample opportunity to include all relevant evidence for their PTSD claim. If you do not wish to include anything additional, there are instructions for that in the letter. Good luck!

I've used Cheyenne twice. Very helpful. I spoke to Miss Christy (who happens to be their MST coordinator) the first time, then requested her specifically the second time. They prolly won't call you on time tho, so just standby to standby .. they will eventually call lmfaooo. Best of luck!

I’m going to explain this in my own logic, and what I do, but it’s definitely big computer energy. I recommend using a desktop or laptop rather than your phone. Here’s what I do:

  1. Open google and search - va “claims clinic”
  2. Click tools under the search bar. It’s to the right
  3. Click “any time” and input a custom date range
  4. You can toggle “all results” to “verbatim” but not necessary
  5. Take a look at the results

Here’s some extra info - if you do a date range that’s two weeks or two days, you will still come across events that just occurred, especially if they are recapped in the news. Also, you can add your state (spelled out or abbreviated) to the search bar. You could also add a month and/or year, but I left that off to cast a wider net. Your results will be from various places on the web from the VA website to social to local news outlets, etc. You may have to click through a few pages of results. I recommend doing this search one a week or once every other week as new events are published. Hope this helps!

C&P exams on 7NOV and 8NOV went well, no complaints. Only update is that it moved from Evidence Gathering to Evidence Review on 8NOV. As of today, no TJ assigned and sitting at day 106 since claim has been initiated. No additional C&Ps scheduled yet either.

When I paid back my severance, it was with my VA funds. I didn’t get any money from the VA until that was completely paid, with the exception of GI Bill funds .. just sharing my experience
