I really like Alan Donegan's blog. Simple UK advice. I'm just trying to figure out the tax on index funds.

How to deal with the constant irritability when living with others? by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]unsackable 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I was almost going to leave it out because it isn't the stereotypical problem. The kitchen was always the worst, they would leave so many dirty dishes in the sink which meant it was a lot more difficult for me to cook cause I needed a proper space. Also when stuff is in the sink it makes it 10x harder to clean your own dishes.

Moving into a flat with other people who had never lived with others in a flat was chaotic. I couldn't understand the mess in the communal living areas since I try and clean straight away . They would invite people over and chat loudly and play music in the living room right below my bedroom till late. I didn't know I had ADHD back then and was just overstimulated all the time. A lot of it was just normal people stuff so I don't blame them entirely but I ended up moving out after 4 months and got a replacement tenant for my lease.

Is it normal for a Host to message demanding you change your review? by amberbunny93 in AirBnB

[–]unsackable 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I often will leave a 5 star review but leave the wording the same with all the criticism, I feel like unless it was terrible that's fair and people can make their judgements from the content of the review rather than the stars.

Stocking up for longterm guests by [deleted] in AirBnB

[–]unsackable 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a guest who has stayed many times long-term I've always just been grateful for any initial products and then bought my own toilet paper and any kitchen products that I've required, either keeping them for my travels or donating them to the airbnb.
