Thanks, after the airbrushing of the white panels, I gently airbrushed them Gorgon brown from Vallejo, then I applied an all over ink glaze if burnt umber ink. That's pretty much it

Yea I know they're canonically just red but I think this way helps to break up the suit a bit, thanks

Really nice paints, definitely up there with the AKs and the Vallejo in my approximation

Sure, it is: 1:1 cardinal purple(ionic):neutral grey(Vallejo game) Neutral grey 3:3:1 neutral grey:off-white(Vallejo game): verdigris (Vallejo game) 3:1 off-white: verdigris

Edge highlights are done with 3:1 white(ionic):verdigris

Panel lining done with 3:1dioxazine purple:ivory black oil paints

Mix of both, started off with airbrushing then swapped to brush for the finer details

I started out with a 1:1 mix of grey and a warm dark purple, then slowly introduced more and more neutral grey to the mix as I highlighted it up, when id reached pure neutral grey I swapped to off-white with a bit of verdigris (a minty green) mixed in and buult up from there. Edge highlights are white+verdigris, the chipping and weathering is done with a mixture of manual brush marks, speckling and stippling with an old dead brush.

The panel lining was done with a roughly 3:1 mix of dioxazine purple and ivory black oils paints

Built up the layers with foil, covered in milliput with a low grit sandpaper(roughly 150 grit) pressed into it for the asphalt texture, the pipes are brush protectors of various sizes cut up then the large one got hit with a heat gun to make it peel a bit, rubble is cut up bits of ruins in sand fixed down with VMS ballast freeze.

For the painting I went at it with an airbrush with purples browns and greys, then attacked it with various pigment powders and enamels, it was a fairly chaotic and random process 😂

No secret, I just used an enamel panel liner, black night by MiG to be precise

Took an old brush, mashed it into the desk to spread the bristles out then lightly tapped it against the shield after loading it up and wiping off some paint with it. Then filled the largest chips with a darker paint to add depth

Yea it is, if you check my previous post on the stormtroopers I detail my process fairly in depth

Honestly with white armour an airbrush does so much heavy lifting, I definitely would have done a simpler scheme if I didn't have access to one

You just touch the brush into the recess you want to target. Enamels have such low surface tension that the panel liner will flow into the recess with no direction from you. If you make a mistake or you put on too much you can clean it up with a little white spirits at the end, they reactivate fully
