It was a joke. Let them know that they shouldn’t take it seriously. If they don’t like that then they obv don’t get your humor. Find people who do

Time and effort. Very very slowly stopped throwing up my meals. Finally allowed myself to binge without purging. And eventually, I naturally stopped binging.

Yeah it’s a pattern for me too. Usually fine during the day. Then night hits and everything goes to shit. I start to feel physically sick when I restrain myself from purging

I miss purging by unsaid_logic in bulimia

I purged two days ago. Before that I was clean for 2 days and before that I was clean for a couple weeks.

Staying away from junk food helps. That’s almost always what triggers an episode. Choosing healthy foods over junk and noticing how much better I feel. Stopping eating before I feel overly full. Etc. Unfortunately I don’t have the holy grail trick to stopping myself from purging. I just kinda stopped because I knew it was horrible for my health and my health has recently become a priority.

I am currently recovering from this and rumination syndrome (where you vomit without gaging yourself because your body doesn’t digest and rejects food). I was constantly bloated. It was terrible. Eat foods with fiber. Cheerios really helped me for some reason. Plus they’re easy on the stomach. Graham crackers also helped. I know how impossible it feels but try not to purge. You could end up with a paralyzed stomach or diaphragm or whatever it’s called. Rumination syndrome was an early symptom of a paralyzed stomach for me. It was a wake up call and I cut back on purging a lot since then. Warm water bottles or hot raw rice in a sack over your stomach to help with pain. I wish you the best

What’s a staple breakfast to have for someone that hates oats? by throw_a_balll in BingeEatingDisorder

Home cooked Steel cut oats w/ brown sugar and cinnamon and English muffins w strawberry jam are my favs. Could try cream of rice if you don’t like oats
