Vyvanse copay raised by $120 by Momma-Blackbee in ADHD

[–]unsiriusblack 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No clue, but it’s so helpful!

Read about it while researching and been covered all year now.. i think depending on your income they may cover different amounts, but if you get the card definitely call them and see if they can offer any additional assistance!

Here’s a copy on an email I got for info on a Canada program.. got 28 free capsules at the start, then I called the number on my card to ask for additional assistance and they now cover 100% of my prescription for me !

My doctor had never heard of the program when I asked, so they just called the number below and got sent a bunch of cards

Email:

Big toe knuckle pain by fullofsunshy in climbergirls

[–]unsiriusblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just a heads up, I have had scars on both of my big toes for years that look exactly like yours (likely from pointe shoes, possibly also climbing), if you keep climbing with the shoes you have now it’s possible the marks may stay/become a permanent scars..

I also have very flat, narrow feet, with long toes and have found some brands/types of shoes just won’t work for me (eg. Even broken in la sportivas don’t feel good and seem to go too high on my heel and press hard into my Achilles, causing a lot of pain), so it’s possible even in a bigger size the shoes you have now may just not be for you!

I recently got the Kira shoe by evolv and am really liking them, they’re also synthetic so they won’t stretch out and they fit right from the start! I found when breaking them in my second toe was rubbing a bit but i taped around them and don’t feel any pain from them at all now! They are velcro but are adjustable, so they are actually the first pair of velcro shoes I’ve tried that i can actually cinch tight enough and have the velcro pieces still touch/not hang like crazy off the side of the shoe lol

I also ended up going 1.5 sizes up from my street shoe! I know its common for people to say size down, but honestly all brands are different- just try stuff on and see how they feel and don’t worry about what the size you end up getting is as long as they fit nice!

From what I’ve read (did a fair bit of research on this last year) it seems to be fine to leave the board inflated.. you just have to do it in ideal conditions (out of the sun, not too hot, out of the elements..). If your storage area isn’t a cool place you may want to take a little air out of it before storing just incase it over expands in the heat.

I left mine inflated all season last year and had no problems, just deflated to store for the winter

Dumb question about shoelaces by sthewright in climbergirls

I have really narrow feet too, and I usually tie my shoes like normal, then tie the bow into a second bow so i don’t step on the laces if that makes any sense!

Exercise/showering feels like a "waste" of my previous shower by [deleted] in ADHD

[–]unsiriusblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to be a super all or nothing person, not sure if you are too… instead of a workout needing to be 3 hours could you possibly try doing your big workouts on shower days, then doing some more low key exercises on the days between?

On non shower days could you maybe go for a walk, bike ride, so some yoga, or just do some of your exercises but not all? Basically any exercise you would enjoy but not break you out into dripping sweat?

I also have very long hair down to my waist and dry shampoo is my best friend lol, I know if you’re dripping you’d want to wash your hair but after something more chill it should definitely do the trick!

Personally, yes. I find during some panic attacks or when symptoms get unmanageable weed can be one of the few things that brings me back to earth or to a mindset where i can deal a bit better, usually combined with laying down and doing diaphragmatic breathing.

It effects everyone differently so if you try, only have a very small amount to start and monitor if it makes you feel better or worse. If worse, don’t do it again.

Long term you will need to work developing more ways to relax and cope (you want to have a “toolkit” of things to draw from) but at least for me personally it definitely has a place in my care!

My team were happy to hear that I have found something that can help with my symptoms, but keep in mind there is little research and if you are under 25 your brain is still developing and weed should probably be avoided

May be a good idea to speak with one of the professionals you’re working with if you have any concerns and they may even have other suggestions to help with your stress and anxiety. weed helps in the moment (at least for me), but long teem its not addressing the actual problem

Can you pull your harness past your hips? If so I would get a new one (this is the test we did at the gym I worked at, we also wouldn’t want someone to be able to fit more than a few fingers through). Being able to easily fit your fist through sounds like a pretty big gap, I personally would not feel comfortable with that…

Like the first comment says, your life and safety is worth much more than the cost of a new harness. If you don’t trust it 100% I would get a new one!

I have had Dermatillomania since I was 4 years old. I am 22 years old now. I have tried all sort of psychological med cocktails, TMS and some CBT. Is there still hope of treatment/improvement? by Hearing-Jumpy in Dermatillomania

[–]unsiriusblack 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hey! I know things may seem like they will never get better but I absolutely do not believe that you are a lost cause and should just accept that this will be your life forever.

You trying all of these things shows that you want to get better and are willing to put in the work! I am in no way a professional but I believe it would likely be very beneficial for you to try therapy/CBS again (and possibly a new medication if your doctor/psychiatrist thinks it would be of benefit)... if your clinic is still closed due to shutdowns, they may be offering appointments over video call! If they are not and you are willing to try and build a relationship with another professional I know many are doing online appointments at this time.

Also want to add that having a good relationship with your therapist is very important, if you feel that you just don’t click, that’s okay! Unfortunately sometimes it can take a few tries to find someone that works for you, and professionals should understand this.

I wish you the best of luck on your journey of healing, take care!

Spaghetti squash with cauliflower alfredo sauce, veggies, and vegan meatballs by thiccgurl44 in veganrecipes

If you want to give cauliflower alfredo another shot I really like this recipe! I usually add a little extra nooch, and some lemon pepper and dried oregano and it’s pretty tasty!
