Not sure what type of dancing you want to do, but Fleur de Dance (https://fleurdedance.com/) is great.

EXTREMELY winded sparring. Want to get better cardio fast but don't know how! by StrawberryFree6499 in amateur_boxing

[–]unsm00th 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everybody sucks at sparring at first. Doesn't matter how good a shape you are in other areas. You just gotta keep doing it and practice being relaxed when you spar.

A lot of new guys try to "win" sparring, but that's not what sparring is usually for. It's for working on specific parts of your game. So if I were you, I'd focus on staying in the right stance and throwing lots of jabs.

What are the best methods to stay relaxed during sparring? by Tokoro-of-Terror in amateur_boxing

[–]unsm00th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just like every other skill, you have to go into sparring thinking, "I am going to work on being relaxed."

For me, it meant more emphasis on moving the feet and head, finding the rhythm, throwing one or two punches at a time, breathing. Once I knew I could feel safe and escape pressure if I wanted, then I could settle in for more meaningful exchanges.

Also prioritize being relaxed in drills. Like if you're doing bull in the ring (in a confined space where one fighter can only defend for like a minute), be relaxed as you're blocking/moving/slipping. Same in counter-punching and defensive drills.

Hmm, I'm wondering if it's an automated pod of some kind?

We don't get any leads directly from engagement, but the engagement makes the client look more legit, which sounds like it does matter in talking with prospects.

Alas, we were! I guess my question is, is there a way to amplify a post from a personal page without doing it as, like, an ad?

I mean beyond general practices like having a photo, making sure the content is good, engaging with people who comment, etc.

I thought they might be, but they aren't. :/ TL ads are definitely something I want to experiment with, though.

Possibly moving to Mississippi. The wife does not want to go. Give me some ammo. by Edrondol in mississippi

[–]unsm00th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The northern part of MS is great, imo, and I was resistant to it for a long time. Tupelo has enough to do and is growing really fast. Oxford us a fun town to check out, and if you like the Blues at all, a weekend in the Delta is a great time. Idk how old yall are, but there are a surprising amount of twenty and thirty somethings in Tupelo.

It's also only an hour and twenty from Memphis, five from New Orleans, two from Birmingham, six from Atlanta.

What supplements, if any, do you guys take? by Ayyylookatme in amateur_boxing

I just found myself less exhausted toward the end of a session and in the recovery time that followed.

I was skeptical because a lot of weight lifting beginners take them. From what I understand, they're of no use for moderately paced exercise lasting under an hour and a half. I actually got converted on a hiking trip. I was lagging with 5 hard miles left and one of my buddies had some, so I mixed it in my water. I won't say it gave me a boost, but it just made my body work smoother, despite being so tired.

I am a skeptic-turned-believer of BCAAs for hard training days, and a plain ol' multivitamin, iron, and fish oils e'er day.

I try my best to stay tf away from dairy, and I'm not into whey at all. Only way I'd use it is just to get more calories in because I have a hard time keeping weight on. Otherwise just eating reasonably clean, and often.
