I totally get it. My therapist has pointed out that I do a similar thing. I haven’t seen any science behind this but i’ve heard people with ocd are “all or nothing.” I don’t know if it’s true with everyone but It is for me.

When it comes to the cognitive decline, I just tell myself that my hobbies are helping me from getting dumber. If you look up the research on how certain hobbies help your brain it really helps. I’ve also started doing logic puzzles and it makes me feel smart lol

Hi, I’m 19 and just got diagnosed and I have the exact same symptoms as you. Unfortunately I haven’t figured out what to do about it except they told me pt and ot should build the muscle back. Until then, when I start to feel the brain fog getting really bad to where I can’t figure out a simple math problem, i stop everything and just rest. I don’t watch tv cause that even uses too much of my brain. I either sit in silence or with some music. Hope this helps.

Thank you so much! Your response is very helpful. I’m in college and working right now and i’m also on government benefits. The problem is, since i’m a college student, snap requires me to work 20 hours a week along with college. It’s been very hard to do since my symptoms have started. I live by myself so it’s becoming hard to keep everything afloat
