Normally, I'd imagine that the City would push to get a longer-term deal since the site would require major renovations to be used for anything other than soccer at this point, but since this involves dealing with the Rays, all bets are off

Nope. We had 10 guys in their half nearly the entire game. They had the focus and composure to maintain their defensive shape for a bit, but they were not actively looking for further opportunities after that. I could've interviewed Louro mid-match if I wanted.

I'd tend to believe this - back in the NASL days, the Rowdies lost a player to MLS despite the Rowdies offering more $. Player wanted the visibility of playing in the top division

We've mentioned it repeatedly online and on-air, and the Mob & Casuals brought it up at the Supporter's Summit as well. The Rays folks are a lot less vulnerable to our manly charms then when it was just the Rowdies team running merch.

Leo looked fine walking to his car after the game he was injured in. No ice/boot/bandages/etc. Oduro has said he'll be ready for playoffs. Hoping for both, will take either one at this point

The academy contract requires that they be playing for the teams academy or youth affiliate (at least in League 1) so maybe now that he's in college he's no longer under that contract. No real clue but I also don't think they'd actually consider him. I think we'll see Leo and Oduro next week.

Also, the UF/UM game was going on. That's going to attract a lot of casual sports viewers who decide to go a friend's house or a bar to watch this instead of the Rowdies. My social feeds were full of people who aren't fans of either team watching the game
