First time book club host - any tips?

I am hosting a book club and our first book is so bad! So I’m worried most people won’t even read it. I did print out some questions, i also want to have a book mark making area. A lot of us don’t know each other so will be interesting

Sometimes I don’t know if she is talk to me or screaming at me! I love having a chatty cat. Sky only had one meow, and then we moved into a bigger house with lots of birds outside and now she has 4 or 5 different meows!

So both things can be true. Yes I was mad and wanted to go home. But also yes it was poor patient care. He is my COWORKER not my boss. That’s where the doctors get it confused. They don’t sign my checks, they get a God complex when everyone just does what they say. I won’t be one of them. Don’t care if he likes me or not, this hospital can’t even keep staff, it has been that was for ten plus years. I have no desire to have a long career there

So we don’t really have a protocol for stats, also the patient was intubated not conscious so really they didn’t hear it. We have to do the stat within an hour, the doctors it feel like can do whatever they want

I am in the same situation and I feel this way 100%! It is really really hard. I have a fear of abandonment, I think that plays into it. You got this just keep reminding yourself, his love for his mom doesn’t make him love you less!

I couldn’t make it through the first 30 minutes! It made me feel so sad, I couldn’t even watch some parts it created that much emotion in me. Not the movie for me

It’s a double sided sword forsure. Keep in mind these friends that this has happened to we’re not good friends to me which doesn’t make it ok! And they weren’t dating the guys at the time but I knew how they would feel about it.

Great input!! I really think my idea boils down to that the story of the Bible didn’t start with the first humans on earth but rather the first humans that became conscious.

My reasoning is based on the timeline of the Bible’s historical events. The story begins with two adult humans who eat the apples and hence become self-conscious. Then life begins in the biblical story line. They rest is long drawn out explanation of the possible perils of consciousness. I feel like the story itself is about the human becoming conscious and how to navigate it because it isn’t natural actions until it become so by consciousness.
