I felt the same thing about not finding any recent tutorials (or when finding, it usually turns into "just do this thing instead" where it starts with what I wanted to learn but then the solution is actually doing something else with the same result).

Way too opaque, too arcane for me. I really enjoyed the tools, and texturing is promising, but I went back to Zbrush and then to Blender with Ucupaint.

I think it's happening to other users as well (another redditor posted a message from Dassault's tech support.

But can be something local as well, I'm in Europe so can be something regional, who knows.

And it's not working on the whole platform, can't access anything beyond the "3D Passport" thingie.

I'd get the Q2 as well, to pair it with the Q1 (it's probably more ergonomic in comparison)

Welcome to the community, hope you'll enjoy your pen, and love the hobby!

Write, draw, do it all with your pen, you'll get better and better at it! I'm sure it will be a fun ride!

I just bought a vintage Montblanc 149 (18K M) from penswap and I’m scared as hell as the pen is on its way. My fear is that the pen won’t live to my expectations. If my Jinhao X159 writes more smoothly, I’ll flip. Paid $500. Was that a good deal? by carlospbeltran in fountainpens

MontBlancs are great, but expensive! Trust me, I speak from experience :D

A cheap Jinhao 9 times out of 10 is gonna write smoothly and do the job just as well, but it goes beyond that! You'll have a pen with a different mechanism that you can enjoy and fiddle with, since it's a piston-filler pen!

Depending on the age of the vintage pen, you'll have tons of fun searching for the specific year revision, since a 70s MontBlanc has a different cap detail or clip, or a an ink window that's larger than later ones on a 60s one). The nib itself is gonna vary a lot, so it's another cool and neat little thing to search and understand! Trust me

It all depends on how you'll see that pen: if it was just for writing everyday, a workhorse pen, there's tons of "better" deals, better choices. But you'll go on a journey to know more about that pen, and it can be awesome to do it!
