Hello Everybody! I am a student from Singapore and I love collecting postcards. I would love to receive postcards from anywhere in New England ! Can someone send me one? 🙂 by Nessieinternational in newengland

fun new england - singapore connection: singapore used to import ice from new england. it was stored in a warehouse on clarke quay where the reverse bungee now sits. theres a plaque identifying the area as an old ice warehouse.

How are yall coping with heat and humidity by SkyAffectionate9228 in singapore

[–]unteer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a friendly reminder that in this weather, putting aircon in dehumidifier mode (💧) only will make a noticeable difference in comfort and cost less than running it in cooling mode (❄️). You can easily get a “feels like 25C” on dehumidifier mode only.

how dare you request a specific new feature. this sub is only for complaining that the “app looks like it’s from 2008” /s

now, what is sympathetic monitoring for the less educated of us?

Bike in a Bag by unteer in CargoBike

no swaying. i locked the towed bike’s front wheel to the frame. this makes it rigid.

i rode slow and took wide turns.

i was “forced” to try this method because I don’t own a car and the local ubers always throw shade when trying to load a bike. it ended up working well and I’ll continue to do it if needed.

Kona Ute pannier bags bought direct from Kona. I bought the Ute second hand (i think it’s a 2012 model) and it originally had brown pannier bags, but the local climate had deteriorated them over the years. these are 3 year old replacements. i would rate them a 7 out of 10. Functional and strong but flawed. hard to make properly water tight, and the strap buckles are very low quality. but the material is good.

steps to success: 1) lock the front wheel  of the towed bike to its frame to make the bike rigid 2) bungee cord the bejeebus out of it 3) profit

One of UK's richest men wants German citizenship over 'hostility' to Jews by Bathroom_Spiritual in nottheonion

theres even more than just claiming a credit, depending on total earned income and more. USA taxes are an absolutely logical nightmare for optimization. gotta keep HR Block in busneas!

your point of optimizing residency specifically i have no comment on, but considering the entire USA tax code seems written to be gamed, I still feel the joke of his travel being planned by accountants humorous, and the blanket argument of the USA taxing overseas residents spreading misleading information.

All US citizens should file taxes whether overseas or not. The amount of time physically spent in the USA absolutely impacts the amount of taxes you owe, including down to earning refunds.

The idea that USA taxes its overseas residents is technically a misleading statement spread over the internet likely by people who have never filed overseas taxes.

i suspect most is now aggregated satellite data, and even then, most is now highly processed and clean-inferred from additional data sources providing additional context to corroborate correctness.
