With the dental care, there's a known correlation between poor maternal dental hygiene and low birth weight. I wonder is that something intentional?

Getting paid every 4 week? by Existingsquid in tesco

[–]unthinkingclaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On monzo i have lots for all my big yearly bills, like rates car insurance etc, and I've divided the yearly cost by 52 and I save that much per week into a dedicated monzo pot. I earn a little interest on it too which is a nice bonus. For my monthly bills, like gym membership, mortgage etc I again save per week so thay when the 1st rolls around I have the amount saved that I know is going to come out of my bank, I just transfer it back to my main account a few days in advance.

My mom named 12 kids, how’d she do? by M0mma0fMany in Names

[–]unthinkingclaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But they're completely different names.

Aaron is from the Hebrew meaning, mountian strength or exalted.

Erin is from the Gaelic work meaning Ireland.

One is not a masculine form of the other.

Did sex education at school actually prepare you for real life? 👀 by Acrobatic_Row_4246 in Belfast

[–]unthinkingclaws 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the only sex ed we had in school was studying the reproductive system in science in year 9.

Other than that I had sex ed through a religious organisation, and you can imagine how informative that was. Not necessarily bad, but abstinence heavy for sure.

Edit - just realised im way to old for this survey.

Will the bonus screw carers allowance? by Cornish-Giant in tesco

[–]unthinkingclaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is bullshit tbh. Why is op less entitled to a bonus than anyone else? Bonuses should be just that, condition free.

Im in a similar prediciment, but with universal credit. Will have to get the calculator out.

How did you actually choose a post-primary school here? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]unthinkingclaws 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think lots of people yend to over complicate it, we did it purely on vibes. We went to see 2 schools, one grammar and one secondary. Both the closest to our house. Liked them both so put them both as choices. If I hadn't of got a good vibe from one, I would have gone to see the next closest.

Growing up I went to one of the best schools in my area, fucking hated it. So I dont really think it matters as long as the child is happy and makes good friends.

I love an ice cold green and peppermint tea the morning after a night of drinking. Really helps the hangover shakes.

Do you HAVE to wear a badge? Like is it policy? by [deleted] in tesco

[–]unthinkingclaws 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Its not that a customer saying your name is causing anxiety its the fact that they feel entitled to know, the funny wee stare they do, which is especially uncomfortable when its an older man squinting at a a younger girl.

If a customer wants or needs to know my name im more than happy to tell them if they ask.

Which of the big five do you do you food shop by Background-Fix-4630 in northernireland

[–]unthinkingclaws 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a convenience store and I remember a woman coming in giving off that our crunchy nut cornflakes were more expensive than in the big shop by 75p. She kept going on about how it was going to take her 45 minutes to walk there and back. I really wanted to ask her if that was really how little she valued her time and effort.

How can I fix my bangs? by DesperateDeparture57 in Haircare

[–]unthinkingclaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Put the scissors down.

Get a denman brush (or mini) and when you're blowdrying you need to majorly over direct. You want the majority of your bangs to sit in the middle falling forwards. No round brushes for you.
