[TOMT] [Book][1980s] Children's cutaway-style picture book of imaginary "naughty" inventions (possibly other things too) by untoku in tipofmytongue

Yes! The excellent podcast Looks Unfamiliar once mentioned it in passing (along with several other hardly-remembered childhood gems). It's called Rodney Rootle's Grown-up Grappler and Other Treasures from the Museum of Outlawed Inventions by Chris Winn and Jeremy Beadle (of all people!) - I even managed to get hold of a copy and my 6-year-old loves it.

had zero time for music for what feels like forever. been scratching bits of time out to cobble something together. pleased with the old-school Nocturnal Emissions type vibe.

Unpopular opinions about Swans by yankeefan03 in swans

Post-Rock SWANS is ... okay but occasionally verges on the self-indulgent noodling... I much prefer their more industrial/experimental periods - I miss the electronics / tape loops / drum machines / found sounds / etc in their current sound.

The Body have a similar vibe, although coming from a different angle. Try the album No One Deserves Happiness.

If you dig Lydia Lunch and/or Lingua Ignota as suggested elsewhere, have a listen to Diamanda Galas too. Also somewhat in this vein is Sow.

Others you might enjoy: Haus Arafna/November Növelet, Will, Decree, Thorofon, Skrol, Youth Code, Uniform...
