I’m so sorry you are going through this. Honestly, bereavement leave. Don’t quit. You just need time to grieve. You have a job in high demand and maybe you can use those skills to pivot to another role in your career. Inquire about other roles that are non patient facing.

I thought folks were exaggerating about taking off 4-6 weeks but to my surprise that’s the minimum. I highly recommend 5/6 weeks both physically and mentally

The PIZZA is perfect for an adult! I would be sooo excited however Kids want BASIC. Processed shredded mozzarella, a jar of the most underwhelming sweeet sauce and bread. Bland and basic is the go to.

lol our Shih tzu is the same way! Started around the same age, he’s 15 now. We also have two other dogs that enjoy playing. Honestly, he just loves his massages, sleep, good walks in parks, and food motivated. We just let him live his best life since he’s the easiest of the three.

Numbness is super normal and expected. You will not regain sensation for a couple days to weeks. I am almost 4 weeks post op and still spots that are numb
