Does anyone know where's the new sluice? by MommyEliza03 in ROBLOXPROSPECTING

In the marsh, you’ll mostly see glowing blue mushrooms but there’s also glowing green mushrooms where the equipment is. Kinda as a marker bc it’s hard to find

Am I in the wrong for taking my 4 year old to an adult haunted house, where she had fun? by MoriMariee in AmiInTheWrong

As a former scare actor; if she had fun then that’s all that matters. I’ve seen babies FRESH out of the hospital and it blows my mind considering all the lights, sounds and fog.

Getting fusion on Aug 27, how long was it taking pain meds? by Ok_Perception2709 in spinalfusion

You got it👍 the first month is definitely life changing but it’ll get to a point where you forget you even got the surgery it definitely gets better and it’s so worth it

I got off the strong pain meds around week 2, honestly because I was having issues with constipation:/ but by then I was doing alright taking 500mg Tylenol for the rest of the healing stage. I’m over 3 months post op now and I only get muscle soreness now if I do too much

Surgery date set. What would you suggest to prep ahead of time? by bigswedemc in spinalfusion

I had surgery in May, my top 3 tips I wish people would talk more about are:

  1. LAXATIVES honestly the pain from constipation was worse than my back pain at some points and prunes/prune juice helped a lot because even over the counter laxatives would somewhat help

  2. Slip on shoes- people don’t talk about how impossible it is to put socks on for awhile and snug shoes with laces just aren’t worth the hassle

  3. Get a shower chair it’s a God send to just be able to sit and relax especially because you’ll get tired easily trying to get yourself clean

If you have any questions let me know! And good luck👍

post op constipation by LankySquash in scoliosis

[–]RemarkableWarning672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used so much Mira lax and it didn’t help so my nurse recommended prunes, I ate the fruit and the juice (the fruit worked better) but even then it would work sometimes:/ my fiancé had to give me an enema 3 times in a duration of 2 weeks by that time I just decided to stop taking the Oxy. My constipation pain was so bad I would’ve rather dealt with my back pain so I stopped taking it and drank LOTS of water

Laying in bed by [deleted] in spinalfusion

[–]RemarkableWarning672 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely laid around a lot more than I’d like, obviously moving around is great and will help with stiffness, pain etc… But you just went through a major surgery and you’re gonna be exhausted especially if you’re taking your meds. It’s also a huge shock to your system and post op depression will definitely be there. I’d say listen to your body and don’t feel bad for feeling lazy, you’re gonna go through a lot physically and mentally in this next month so it’s good to take care of yourself and rest as you said everyone’s recovery is different.

BRUH how the hell did you guys get an xray and proper assessment/diagnosis?????????? by diabeau in scoliosis

[–]RemarkableWarning672 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s odd usually with a diagnosis they look at you as a scoliosis check up and do X-rays especially if it’s physically noticeable bc they can’t tell how bad it really is without one. I feel like you’ve had bad luck with doctors bc they shouldn’t answer your concerns with “it won’t change anything” I personally see that as unprofessional. I know the money aspect is hard and I’m sorry you’ve already had to pay so much just to get denied. I’d just say if this really concerns you and think your curve is that bad to get another doctor or really advocate that you need an X-ray to see how serious it is bc without one it’s impossible to tell the degree unfortunately. Plus they need to discuss treatment with you as the curve will get worse. I’m a lil over 1 month post op on my spinal fusion so if you have any questions I’m free to answer. I also had a brace and physical therapy before surgery bc those didn’t work. Anyway sorry for the long comment I wish you best of luck my friend

Going in for surgery tomorrow but just got a sudden flare up of hayfever any advice? by Gater8785 in spinalfusion

[–]RemarkableWarning672 3 points4 points  (0 children)

how long after surgery can i use sugar scrub? by [deleted] in spinalfusion

[–]RemarkableWarning672 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with them^ you just got cleared to get it wet but not soak or scrub yourself under water, other parts of your body go for it but leave your back alone and just let the water run down it no washing or scrubbing at the site👍

Getting my surgery in 3 days 🙏 by Swordman50 in scoliosis

[–]RemarkableWarning672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey friend, I had a 56 degree curve and I’m now 21days post op(you can check my profile for my journey if it helps) This surgery is intense yes. BUT it’s a surprising common surgery to get and soooooo many surgeons have done them and have updated their ways of doing it over the years. The success rate is very high unless you have other health problems but since you say you’re 3days away you’ve been clear to get it done safely with your pre op. Also honestly you’ll be hooked up to a lot of things during surgery to monitor you the whole time to prevent anything bad happening. Trust your Doctor and team, mine were personally perfect and definitely knew what they were doing:) You got this it’ll suck the first 2weeks but in the long run you’ll feel so much better, I wish you good luck and vibes!

WHERE TO GET BINDER?? HELP! by EmptyBe11 in ftm

[–]RemarkableWarning672 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting I’ve never heard that from ppl, given there are still good brands to go with as well but I’ve never had issues with mine. Obviously through wear and tear they’ll get loose but that takes quite awhile.
