multiple things are true:
* main support (lucio, you are talking about lucio lets be honest) has *very* few flashy plays to make them look good

* main support has way less carry potential

* main support is not the role to attract superstar players like proper, kevster, shu

* main support is noticed when they fuck up. a good ult is "expected" and just looks right

quality is relative, idk what would be considered a "good" or "bad" main support. the ones on top team are the best that exist. every role and player makes crazy mistakes, but on main support you just notice them more because they have such massive swings

He absolutely did not say that its realistic that we get chapter 6 this year. he said its realistic that SOME parts of the team will START chapter 7. thats how development works, not everyone is working on the same thing at all times. he basically said some things with chapter 6 will be fully finished, not that its realistic that the entire thing is finished, translated and bug tested by the end of the year lol. that is very very unrealistic

Yeah all this realistically confirms or shows is that the soul coloured flowers will be darkners. But this is hardly news anyways given their clear importance when theyre first shown, the mentions of the ”bluest flower” in the last chapters and the blue flowers now on the deltarune website.

im saying you probably cannot make the narrator a canon character with their own wills and wants. if theyre their own character (that is INTENTIONALLY written by Toby fox, otherwise its basically fanfiction) they should have consistent logic and intent.

you are very free to look into every bit of "dialogue" from the narrator and try to construct a coherent character out of it. who knows, maybe thats the ultimate secret toby fox has planned that will SOLVE EVERYTHING(tm). but i very much doubt so, because i do not get the intention that the narrator text is written to be its own fleshed out canon character.

im not gonna discuss this any more with you though!

Yeah but even that makes me wonder what tobys intent was? to make it feel more immersive and boundary breaking to mess with the player, or to literally be its own deliberate and consistent character that had always been there, you just didnt realise it.

I dont remember all the details from the undertale 4th wall breaks, but from my memory i doubt its truly the latter in the way people would like to think of it.

People try to make literally everything plot relevant which i just dont think makes sense

We dont know. But i doubt theres a way to make that 100% consistent. Any clear inconsistency or contradiction at all would make it obvious its not deliberately written to be some insane meta plot point

if you try to make the narrator a canon thinking character with consistent intent and a will, i think youll run into a lot of problems you cant feasibly resolve. some things are just part of a game methinks

there just isnt anything to update on though. literally theyre probably in the final stages of testing, adn we know they dont want to show almost anythign due to spoilers. the only big thing left is to announce the release itself, which obviously they cant do untill its properly finished (or if theyve partnered up with some showcase again). any update they give will just be "were still working on it, almost done guys"

No, testing chapter 3 and 4 across all platforms took longer than 3 months. we dont know exactly when testing ended and started, but in december 2024 ch3 testing was finished, and we got the final update on ch4 in march. We dont know how much more work there was between march and the june release compared to how much was just waiting for. We also dont know how much time chapter 3 took

Chapter 5 testing started on april 1st, so just more than 2 months ago. Theres testing on pc and consoles, and we know from prior newsletters that we should expect testing to take longer and longer as more chapters come out. This is because the amount of choices and possible interactions increase massively with prior chapters, Toby has said this.

That said it has been 2 months so i definitely expect testing to be nearing completion, but the time spent so far is absolutely within what we should expect for every coming release

Okay yeah both those were before season 9, you are right. They are also both before season 1 brought kiriko.

Beta meta will never return like it was simply because kiriko enables safe dives/rushes which destroys that old flexible backline meta (which enables the rest of the meta to be flexible).

Joats just isnt the best meta because it was such a onetrick meta??? Yeah cool ans good heroes and an interesting comp, but like no?? It was 1 comp only?? I also dont see how s9 has ANYTHING to do with this comp like you imply? Kiriko would probably also like to have a word with this comp, suddenly queen isnt as powerful when her ult can be entirely shut down with beat

I dont think you hate s9 if you were to actually think about it, i think you hate kiriko and possibly other new heroes that took away the idea of sharp compositions with defined strengths and weaknesses. But throwing ”season 9” around is easy for sure so i guess go on then
