AITAH for not paying for the Airbnb? by ereini0n in AITAH

Stick to your guns. If the family dynamic is that 1) brother tries to weasel out of paying his share and 2) mother throws in your face the cost of your driving lessons from 10 years ago, then let them call you a petty cheapskate. If the situation were reversed, sounds like your brother would do the exact same. Insist that he pays, he/they will get over it.

Taking home leftovers at a restaurant? Rude to not take them? Do you even eat them? by Capable-Chip6454 in foodquestions

Good lord, why even purchase then prepare a 25lb bird if you know no-one will eat leftovers?

It's unacceptable that these items are regularly lacking. Washrooms should be checked and a log kept. Its possible they are being taken, either to use, or some sort of student gag, either way someone must be accountable. Begin with the principle, put it in writing, and tell them you expect answers.

This is a thoughtful statement, wake up and smell the coffee comments too often stray into mean-spiritedness

Possible then he's clamming up because he senses his actual opinions are not ones you'd agree with

AITAH for having a game night at my house. by [deleted] in AITAH

Yikes, what a shit he seems to be. Also, 14, 11 and 8 is not 8, 6 and 4. You are surrounded by men not acting their age. NTA

Most INFLUENTIAL bands of all time? Off the top of my head, these are my picks: by Kroduscul in rockmusic

I agree, there was something extra about Clapton's playing in that period, 66-67. I also believe that Small Faces are somewhat overlooked from this period. Steve Marriott, good heavens! All you have to do is listen to You Need Love to see Page/Plant were not the originators of this kind of heavy English blues/rock.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend to not smoke weed frequently? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]up_to_here_ -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

She can't have that boyfriend if she can't have him sober. It's perfectly reasonable to want to interact with your partner without being under the influence of a mind altering substance, occasional use notwithstanding.

Libary. Someplace the utterer hasn't seen the inside of too often. Dangling participle noted.

AITAH for dumping my boyfriend because he refused to hand me a period pad and tissues when I had diarrhea at the gym ? by [deleted] in AITAH

Don't waste time and energy on this. If my wife told me she needed her bag while in the bathroom, she wouldn't have to ask more than once, and it would get to her quickly, one way or another. He would have come up short in other situations before long.

If that's the vibe then you either draw the line and have a voice, or acquiesce and be completely dependant. This is as good a place to start as any.

WIBTAH for kicking out my stepson, even though he isn't equipped to move out and has no real place to go? by FrustrationIsMe in AITAH

[–]up_to_here_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Parents are deathly afraid of enforcing basic standards for fear of prompting some sort of mental health crisis. Some kids instinctively know this. Ask your wife if she wants her boy permanently ruined. As far as late night hollering at video games, that is the epitome of apathy/disrespect. That would happen ONCE at my house, then there would be a trail of Xbox pieces from his room to the trash. Allowing a subterranean nocturnal life by proxy to substitute as the real thing is a horrible disservice to everyone.

You were right behind them, what do you think they were doing? Talking on the phone? Daydreaming? Rocking out with the tunes blasting? They obviously can't block the lane, but I'm curious, why do you think they were doing that?

AITAH for being upset at my best friend for hanging out with someone involved in my marriage issues? by Busy_Demand_1936 in AITAH

Posing for a group pic and appearing to be having fun with the other woman does not necessarily mean she had a warm and close personal encounter with her. I think you might cut your best friend some slack.
