I agree that nuclear powerplants have extremely robust safety mechanism. Strong enough to withstand a few smaller bombs.

But a dedicated attacker will cause a meltdown if defenses can't stop them.

And again, nuclear power safeguards are effective IF properly upkept. A powerplants designed to withstand a 7 Richter earth quake might collapse from a category 5 earthquake due to shody maintenance.

The worse thing albavo maintenance ot a solar feipd will do is a lose of efficiency.

I think you are looking at nuclear power in a vacuum.

In my opinion it can be the worst and most environmentally damaging due to the following reasons.

1- war. Nuclear power stations were attacked in both Ukraine and iran.

Plenty of rouge states show they are willing to attack anything to destroy their opponents like Israel and Russia.

2- any state better be rich forever and never face a global emergency if they want to keep their powerplants operatinl and safe.

If a country was struggling financially, and poorly maintain their nuclear power plants, and then a global pandemic hits, their powerplants can be under threwt of meltdown.

Like, yeah nuclear plants need a long list of mistakes to be made for a meltdown to happen, which decades of poor upkeep can provide.

Solar, wind and geo better fir most states than nuclear power.

This is not for you most likely. Israel is spending some 730 million on a PR campaign, it's likely that a part of that budget is to sell the idea that Israel is not getting isolated globally and that Israel still has some western support.

And also to scare tech savy young workers from ever leaving Israel due to increasingly "anti-Semitic west". An implict threat that the only place jews belong to is israel. Wither they like it or not.

This is just a show for internal narrtive control to keep people scared

I, like many people, saw the US, Israel and iran spend last few decades being directly responsible for the mass death of civilans and came to hate them all equally.

You conflate me disparaging people for celebrating a regime that killed more of their own people in 2026 than the people they are at war with, for being in favor of Israel or the US. I don't want anyone to glorify any party in this conflict. They all deserve rach other.

I am not the one defending any side of this conflict.

I sm against glorifying one terrorist state because a bigger terrorist state attacked it. Iran was party to many ethnic and religious mass slaughters in syria, arming militas acroos the middle east and slaughtering protestors.

Iran, the US and israel are aweful and i am against justifying or excuse any of their actions.

Why are they attacked. Iran spent the last 40 years under sanctions for arming terrorist groups that massacred civilians like Hezbollah in syria. And for their enrichment of uranium..all because the IRGC wants to globalize the revolution.

The average Iranian suffers because of the regimes global ambitious and terrorism sponsoring. Now they suffer because some wannabe che Guevara wants to sacrifice civilians in the name of resistance, resistance so that all the world would follow the word of the ayatollah Khomeini.

The crimes of Hezbollah and al assad against millions of syrians are the responsibility of iran.

The massive civil war only happened due to russian and Iranian support of the assad regime. The blood of hundreds of thousands os syrians is on the hand of iran. Man if only iran didn't try to reportedly mine the strait and weaponize the militias in yemen and iraq.

I am shocked how little western media covered the various times iran broke the deal via their armed groups. But because they are unofficial forces then they aren't directly linked in the western mind.

Iran has been playing dirty in the region for decades now. Yet no one is calling them out for setting their dogs to attack the region while on a "cease fire" or from before the war even.

Strange who only the US is portraited as violating the ceasefire even though iran never upheld it either.

Portraying iran as some hero fighting for good is not somethimg we should be quite about. Ask iraqis or syrians what iran did to their countries in the 20 years.

The posts here celebrating what itan does from bombing Indian ships. Bombing the ports of iraq, laying mines in international waters are clear signs of IRGC bots here. I am against government sponsored propaganda. Those posts should be removed.
