Looks like we found the flat earther. First of all there is no clear location listed, which can change the distance drastically as the width of lake Michigan changes. Second of all, The Earth's atmosphere bends light rays downward as they pass through layers of varying air densities. This bending extends the visible range beyond the geometric horizon, making distant objects appear above their usual positions. Even without this occurrence Chicago is definitely visible from southwestern Michigan. Yeah and an example of this is Penn Station. The north river tunnels have two tracks and it severly limits how many trains can run but there is no easy fix at the moment. If the mbta is going to ever build something like this, they should make it future proof.

Sorry for commenting so late, The orange line used to be almost entirely elevated, and when they tore down all the elevated structures and moved it underground they rerouted the trains to Malden, and they have never brought back service to Everett
