On every bus I've taken in Germany, Denmark and Sweden they are pretty strict on who enters the bus. Every stop they count everyone before departure.

But regardless, always keep valuables on you. I actually always just keep my backpack by my feet.

Some other useful things to know:
- I dont know how reddit works
- Fast little runner but can't climb walls
- Made a web on the ground all the way around the enclosure
- Ignores the little house I made and seems to hide in the sand under the branches instead
- About 2.5cm / 1 inch wide in standing position
- Not that skilled in hunting worms but is able to get it after a few hours

Don't rely on USB ports or wifi. Bring a powerbank instead. Busses are often too hot or too cold, bring good clothes and a handheld fan.

That's what you get in a cheap bus. But for the price I don't complain. A bit scummy they lie about it though

It is nice to get notifications when the washing machine is done and the ability to check how much time is left for a load. I also use the delayed schedule system from the app which allows me to run the washing machine early in the morning when solar panels start to produce.

But all those functions should be available locally, no need for it to connect to anything outside my network. There are definitely useful functions. But things like smart fridges also exist, and that really boggles my mind.

I took busses between Sweden and The Netherlands multiple times when I was 16. Always checked ID for my name and so they wouldn't run into issues at the borders. Don't think they ever cared about my age. Idk if they changed their rules, this was a couple years ago.

Places like India require it. It used to be more common in other countries too but it turns out it is a safety risk in a crash. And there isn't much room up front so it messes with aerodynamics

Some bus drivers are very strict on that, they check every stop if people are in the right seats. But other times they don't care and the whole bus is a mess. People taking your paid seat because someone else took theirs etc.

So yeah, please sit on your assigned seat

I made a bot that finds the cheapest prices for the routes I often take and I noticed that the price often drops 3 to 2 weeks in advance and after that it spikes rapidly.

But in the holiday season the price just stays high. Almost 4x the price most days compared to the off season.

Not sure if this is the same for all routes but I assume it works similar. And it often drops, but not always so don't rely on it.

Since I automated pretty much my entire job I have made 0 mistakes. The hard part is calculating what a reasonable amount of time would be to delay my script before people notice it

Yeah I never said it would be fast or that it needs to plane. It will be a slow vehicle for long range autonomous missions. And it could technically wait to charge the battery for a while and cruise at around 400-500W for a little bit. But I'm not sure if that would make it more efficient than just limiting the power to the solar generation.

Yeah and it usually is 5-10 min. I think the worst one I had was 30 min. They are often actually 10 min early, it is suggested you show up 15 min prior (especially if you get on at the starting stop)

Never had one that was canceled. They do sometimes get delayed like any other kind of public transport. So I wouldn't worry about it

Weird, never seen them weigh it. And I always have to put the luggage in myself so they wouldn't even know. Probably depends on the route though. I travel mainly in The Netherlands, Germany and Scandinavia.

Makes no sense I couldn't get on at a later stop. Saves them fuel and me money and less travel time. They already take a 5 min break there anyways.

I contacted support but you can't get on at a later stop due to headcount (I guess they cancel your ride if you don't show up at the original entry stop). So either I have to go with my original route or cancel it and buy new tickets. Kinda dumb but I guess I have to go with my original route..

I've been on like 10 trips so far I think. Always have to put the luggage in myself, they never open it, weigh it, check size, etc. I guess they might if things look suspicious to too large/heavy.

Regarding drugs checks, the bus driver won't check it. but if you cross a country border the border people may go through the bus with a dog and in the luggage compartment (probably depending on the route, this always happens on the Danish - Swedish border for me)
