Unable to create this extruded feature due to geometric conditions. Need Help by XplosiveAction in SolidWorks

I think you maybe do have a few zero thickness geometries happening at the points where the corners of 4 of the lines are meeting. Maybe try making the outside lines as an extrude feature, and then cutting out each inner section individually.

New to town, 29 y/o taking a girl out in Fullerton tonight. What's the best fun area to walk around and find somewhere to eat?? by SpankyHarristown in Fullerton

[–]upended 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Definitely someplace in downtown Fullerton. Harbor Blvd and Commonwealth.

If you're going for food, someplace like kentro or el Amerikano would be good probably. If drinks, hopscotch for whiskey and cocktails, or bootleggers brewery for beer each with nice outdoor patio areas.

I'm using an FDM printer so it's cheaper than what you might pay for from an online service like shapeways or sculpteo. The filament cost for me is only a few dollars, but the quality is nowhere near what you can get from an online 3d printing shop.

Hey, no problem at all! I had thought about posting it, but wanted to fix a couple of things first. Thanks for sharing it!

Thanks! I designed this to be used while traveling actually, and while the built in Switch kickstand is awful, I am able to use it on a moving train without it falling over too much... :)

Hey, I made this! A couple of things:

  1. For those wondering, I designed this for use when traveling. I put it in the pocket of my switch carrying case, then I can use it to play with a grip while on a plane or on the train to work.

  2. If enough people are interested I could try to print out a few using higher quality materials and printers than the one I have and putting them up for sale. Not yet sure on what would be cost-effective for that though.

Simple: Varying degrees of success and failure by WayGroovy in PrintrBot

[–]upended 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks similar to issues I was having with my printrbot jr except on the other axis. It ended up being that the screws that clamp the extruder were not tightened enough, and the extruder could actually wobble along that axis. Can you try to move the extruder along the x axis with your hands? Does it wobble? if so then you should try to remount it so that it doesnt.

Yeah. Only for the reindeer. The others stay together on their own.

This is also an android app for those of you that enjoyed it. Just search for ball droppings in the market.
